Dawid Sukany, was excellent from start to finish,
So helpful, answered all questions.
My only issue was I had to leave a £250 refundable deposit because I was waiting for my v5 for my trade in, but motor point couldn't provide a v5 for purchased car and I will have to wait as it needed to be applied for at post office, I wasn't made aware of this before the sale was completed.
And the pre collection valet wasn't great.

Very helpful staff, patient,explained everything well. Nothing was too much bother for them .

I arranged most of my new vehicle purchase online and visited the dealership for a test drive and to finalise the remaining details. The showroom was clean, welcoming, and had refreshments and customer facilities available.
The staff were friendly, professional, and happy to help with any questions. The whole process was smooth and straightforward, making the experience enjoyable from start to finish.
I’m very pleased with both the service I received and my new vehicle. Highly recommended. 🚗😊

⭐ 1 Star – Very Disappointing Experience with Motorpoint – Complete Waste of Time!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Motorpoint on 28 October 2026, particularly with how my part-exchange valuation was handled between the Chingford and Peterborough branches.

I initially contacted Motorpoint online regarding a car I was interested in purchasing and received a part-exchange valuation of £24,110 for my current vehicle. I reserved the car and booked an appointment at the Chingford branch.

When I arrived, my car was physically inspected by the Chingford team, and the £24,110 valuation was confirmed. I then test-drove the car I had reserved, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations, so I decided not to proceed with the purchase.

The team then found another car at their Peterborough branch and suggested I travel there to view it. This meant a two-hour drive each way, but I was genuinely interested in purchasing a car, so I made the journey.

When I arrived at Peterborough, I viewed the car that had been reserved for me and was happy with it. However, I was then told that my part-exchange vehicle needed to be inspected AGAIN, despite already having been inspected and valued at Chingford, with the confirmed valuation passed on to Peterborough.

To my absolute shock, the Peterborough team came back claiming they had found a crack in the front lower grille and decided to reduce my part-exchange valuation by £1,000!

What makes this even more frustrating is that I checked the price of the grille online and found it advertised for around £95. How does a £95 part justify knocking £1,000 off the value of my car?

My vehicle had already been inspected in person at Chingford, where no such issue was raised, and the original valuation was confirmed. I travelled to Peterborough in good faith, expecting the agreed valuation to be honoured.

Instead, I wasted an entire day, drove four hours in total, and ended up leaving without purchasing the car.

I find this experience extremely unprofessional, frustrating and disappointing. There appears to be a serious lack of consistency and communication between Motorpoint branches. Customers should not be encouraged to travel long distances based on a confirmed valuation, only to have that valuation dramatically reduced when they arrive.

I genuinely wanted to buy a car from Motorpoint, but this experience has completely put me off.

A complete waste of my time, fuel and effort. I expected much better from a company like Motorpoint

I had an amazing experience at motorpoint with Jamie at the Peterborough branch. Where I purchased a gorgeous new car. Jamie was attentive and very friendly throughout the experience. Would recommend

I walked into the showroom at motorpoint, walked around site unattended on my own and then when I needed to ask questions there was a salesperson available.
therefore I was not pressured into anything I was left freely. to walk around and come back and ask questions as needed.

All there cars are reasonable priced , probably with the lowest mileage around . Very knowledgeable staff and very polite and friendly, very good website to browse and compare cars , keep you informed and update on progress , good follow up after purchase . Used motorpoint for my last 4 over 15 years

No pushy sales, helpful attentive team, bought 2 cars, any queries or issues were satisfactorily resolved as quick as possible, and feel reassured that if there were any problems after sale that there wouldn't be any quibble.

I really struggled to find the car that I wanted locally and other garages no longer move vehicles between stores. Motorpoint found me one and moved it from their Edinburgh store for £199. The car arrived on the exact date and as I then purchased the car, the £199 was deducted from the car price. The service we received from Sam in particular was very good. He was very professional and everything we were told would happen did. He found us the car we wanted at a very good price, with all of the features we wanted. He also got us the best price locally for part exchanging our old vehicle - we will definitely use motorpoint again!

Saturday mid afternoon .

Very helpful salesman (Kelvin), answered all our questions about part exchange and cancellation of road tax on current car and arranging for it on any new car - explained how to see details of vehicles we’d chosen as possible purchases (qr code on bc windscreen ) - and quickly provided keys for each vehicle for viewing once we’d narrowed our choices down to three.

When we’d finally made our choice, explained the deposit process and this was very simple and easy - all done via text message link. Arranged test drive for the following Monday.

Took me out for test drive and we then arrange collection details.

Another salesman (Fred) dealt with the handover on the Friday and that was very smooth and easy.

The pricing was fair.

I’d definitely recommend others to use Motorpoint after this.
