My Experience with Motowheels – Strongly Recommend Avoiding

UPDATE: A response to my review with customer service number is 800-555-0123. Hahahaha They literally respond with a fake number to call to resolve the issues. That shows how fake this website and place is. I'm sure all the good reviews are just like their website, FAKE!!!

I placed two separate orders with Motowheels and regretted it almost immediately due to terrible customer service and misleading information on their website.
Their website shows items in stock and advertises a 1-week lead time, which turned out to be a blatant lie. In reality, they had nothing I ordered actually in stock.
The customer service rep I dealt with was extremely annoying and difficult to communicate with. He talked nonstop, interrupted constantly, and never let me speak. He kept repeating the same points over and over without listening or offering any real solutions. Every conversation was negative and focused only on what they could not do. When I asked what they could do, he just looped back to the same negatives.

Specific Issues

For the first order, he called the day after placement saying it would take 2 weeks to ship. A week later, he called again claiming it would now take 2 months. I initially said I’d wait, but the next day I found the part elsewhere and requested cancellation. He immediately became defensive and started yelling at me, claiming he had “just put the order in” — a full week after I placed it. I only received the cancellation and refund after I told him I would dispute the charge with my credit card.

The second order arrived without any tracking information despite repeated requests. The package came opened with all seals broken.

Their website claims they stock everything they sell and can ship in 1 week for in-stock items, but my experience showed the opposite: false stock levels, wildly inaccurate lead times, no tracking, and damaged packaging on arrival.

Dealing with their rep felt like talking to a negative, naggy person who made the entire process far more stressful than necessary. I already know calling back about the damaged second package will likely result in more yelling and excuses. I hope these items work, if not, I'll have a lawyer call him because at this point I can't even stand to hear his voice.

If you're thinking of ordering from Motowheels, especially for parts that appear "in stock," save yourself the headache and look elsewhere (RevZilla, Cycle Gear, or direct from better suppliers have far more reliable communication and fulfillment).

Buyer beware — misleading website info + poor (and aggressive) customer service is a bad combination

Caswell tank sealer

The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because there was a long delay in the shipping do to the Caswell tank sealer being on back ordered. This is very good company to work with and the tank sealer product is outstanding at a good price. I would definitely use this product and buy from Motowheels again.

Can’t tell if these guys are even in…

Can’t tell if these guys are even in business. I ordered a brake lever guard, which they sent. I meant to order clutch side so I tried to navigate a needlessly complicated return process, sent it back on my dime, asked for the clutch side and offered to pay restock; zero communication. Left a message… no call back, no email, no lever…. Nada.

Motowheels has consistently provided excellent service on all my orders, and my recent purchase of Sato Racing rear sets was no different. They continue to deliver the outstanding experience I have come to rely on.

Questionable communication
