DO NOT USE MOVING CLAIM.NET EVER, RUN, SCAMMERS!!!!!

Below is the response I sent to Moving Claims after I received there settlement offer:

If "Moving Claims" are not responsible for the outcome of my claim, then what is the point, what do you do......nothing. Someone needs to take responsibility for my losses and pain and suffering. Isn't that worth more than a measly $75. A notary alone will cost me that much. I did nothing wrong here. I will never see MY possessions ever again, of which someone needs to be accountable for. The anguish this has caused me will forever be irreparable. This is unacceptable! I will not let this rest until I get appropriate resolution and compensation. A class action suit will/is in the making. You will reap consequences for your actions. I personally deem you as evil, for which you must pay the price.

You say, "You are a third-party claims company that my moving company hired to offer claims processing services at no cost to you." Well there's the answer. That's how you make YOUR money. They hire you to come off as though you are investigating my claim, when all the while, what you are really doing is spewing nothing but lip service to the injured party. You HAVE NOT resolved my claim. You're done nothing but offer me a token $75. You sit back, take your so-called third party kick-back and screw the consumer.

So take your lousy $75 and SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS!!!!!

MovingClaims.net is a scam company / Safeway Moving

MovingClaims.net is a scam company. We moved from Colorado to Florida. When we unpacked our 75" tv, the whole left said was shattered. Also, our Playstation no longer worked. I contacted MovingClaims.net and went through the most horrific, anguish causing back and forth email chain imaginable. I BEGGED them to have a supervisor or anybody actually call me so that I can actually SPEAK to someone. Never happened. Their offer to me for the items was $169! They do this to EVERYONE, look up their reviews. This company is begging for a Class Action! Let's do it! The moving Company using them was SafeWay Moving, so I would be careful using them as well!

Absolute Frauds! Stay Far Away From Moving Claims!

If you are moving, ask upfront who the moving organization uses to resolve claims. If Moving Claims, DO NOT use the moving company as Moving Claims will not reimburse anything close to a number that makes any sense! Take a look at the reviews below........ reimbursements of $100 or less! They offered me $79 for damages incurred on an 18 wheeler move! Stay away!

Con Artists!

Based on other reviews on this site and my own experience, I can confidently opine that movingclaims.net (“MC”) is a full-on SCAM. They have jerked me around for the past three weeks. I have filed TWO separate online claims under TWO different email addresses (because MC said that it could not find my first claim). MC now is farcically telling me that it cannot find my second claim). With each online filing, the final message on the MC website was: “Thank you for contacting us.”

MC’s nonsense caused this retired Wall Street tax attorney to start looking into MC. My research led to the following conclusions (which are based solely on what I was able to find online): (i) MC has no official corporate legal name ending in, say, Inc., Corp., or LLC; (ii) MC has no “bricks and mortar” address, though it has a P.O. Box address in Miami, according to the Yellow Pages website; (iii) MC is not registered to do business in Florida; and (iv) there are no BBB reviews or complaints for MC – likely because MC is not even in the BBB’s database. In other words, I am not sure if MC even exists in the real world.

I have given up dealing with the con artists at MC and am moving on to bringing MC to the attention of: (i) the Florida Attorney General’s Office, which houses an award-winning special task force targeting fraud in the moving industry; and (ii) the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. If it turns out those Florida agencies have no jurisdiction over – or cannot even find MC – I will turn to the relevant federal agencies (the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration).

Very Dishonest Company working for Dishonest Movers

Just not honest people and very poor customer service skills. They are all a part of an elaborate scheme to screw customers that get tricked into doing business with Moving Companies like US Interstate and Rail and Handle with Care. Moving companies severely damaged an antique desk, kitchen Hutch a 55 inch TV and several other things and they sent me a settlement offer of $60.00 The people in this company and with these moving outfits better hope there isn't an afterlife. Screwing good people over like this will have a consequence in life.

I wish I could do 0 stars

I wish I could do 0 stars. The amount of time it took to file the claim made it not worth whatever potential money I could recieve from the moving damages. The legal jargon backs you into a corner that says nothing could happen and you can't request further assistance or action. The ridiculous direction to not throw damaged items away is unrealistic. The click bait on the website is hazardous, as well as annoying, and they were not helpful in the slightest after HOURS of time spent on their website.

Run!!!

We were insured by Moving Claims for moving services with Interstate and Rail. None of the companies delivered on what they promised.

I was offered a $75 refund for the following loss and damages from our moving company Interstate and Rail:

$6000 in loss of furniture from having to replace a flatscreen tv, a large deep freeze, an leather office chair, a dresser; a bed, 8 kitchen stools and dozens of missing items.

Moving Claims did not provide the coverage promised for our moving services. This business feels like a scam and I’m out $1000s

These guys are not a real claims underwriting company

0 Stars!! As you can tell from all the other reviews, this company is compensated by the worst of the worst moving companies to stop you from calling them to complain about your lost or damaged property and then take the moving company's place as the bad guy when they offer you essentially nothing for your claim. I would steer clear of any moving company that uses them to "settle" claims (aka get you off the moving company's back).

This company is an absolute nightmare!!

This company is an absolute nightmare, and I couldn't be more furious with the outcome of my experience. My move turned into a disaster as I had items stolen and damaged. Despite their so-called commitment to being 'on my side,' they brushed off my claim and left with a settlement offer that didn't even begin to cover my losses.

I went above and beyond, submitting every piece of evidence they could possibly need – detailed descriptions, manufacturer weights, and photos of the damages. And what did I get in return? They offered me chump change, way less than the 60 cents per pound they're supposed to cover.

They had the audacity to toss in an extra $50 "to maintain their high level of customer satisfaction," but it was a pathetic attempt to hush me up. Multiple times they refused to take another look at the items I submitted documenting my losses, that I spent hours preparing. My total settlement offer was an insult – nowhere near what I deserved for the stuff that got trashed, stolen, or overcharged by the associated moving company.

To add insult to injury, they basically held my ability to leave reviews hostage. If I accepted their disgraceful settlement, I couldn't leave a single word of truth about this nightmare.

I urge you, and anyone else, to steer clear of any company associated with Moving Claims Services. If they dare to 'accept your claim,' DON'T LET THEM HANDLE IT. Insist on dealing with a different company for your claim because this one is an absolute disgrace!

Stay far far away!!!

Stay far, far away from this sham outfit, and any moving outfit they associate with. Movers were liars and thieves. "Moving Claims" does nothing other than bob, weave, obfuscate, lie, and delay. Told recently, after 1 1/2 years that they no longer worked for the mover, and would need to deal with mover directly. Mover shut down 9 months previously. Moving Claims knew this!!! They did not inform us until we "again" rattled their cage. Moving Claims exists for no apparent reason other than to provide cover for crooked moving companies. Our load was essentially totaled (damage), yet the only missing items were those that could be pocketed and easily sold (jewelry, etc.)

MOVINGCLAIMS.NET IS A SHAM OPERATION…

MOVINGCLAIMS.NET IS A SHAM OPERATION USED BY YOUR DISHONEST MOVING COMPANY TO PUT OFF REIMBURSING YOU FOR DAMAGES/STOLEN POSSESSIONS!

Do not bother to contact them! File a complaint against your moving company DIRECTLY with your state's Attorney General and also with the Attorney General where the Corporate Office of your moving company is located. Also, file a complaint against your moving company with the Better Business Bureau.

Horrible customer service & overly complicated process

We are currently dealing with MovingClaims.net and they are absolutely ridiculous. After jumping through their many hoops and filling out the exact same paperwork multiple times, we finally got a settlement offer of just $76 despite damages to multiple pieces of furniture and our new apartment walls. I have asked them repeatedly for an itemized list that shows how they came up with $76 and they continue to ignore me. I get canned response emails from them as opposed to any response actually acknowledging my questions/requests. So far it has been a huge headache dealing with them but we unfortunately don't have a choice. They make the whole process as difficult as possible to discourage you from filing a claim and seeing it through to a reasonable solution.

Useless

I had similar frustrating and futile experiences with movingclaims.net. My moving company which damaged and lost things said they only use movingclaims.net for claims. I have no other options. but google says:
How to File a Complaint Against a Moving Company
Reach out directly to your moving company.
Submit your complaint to the FMCSA National Consumer Complaint Database.
Contact a state regulatory or enforcement agency.
Consider arbitration with the American Trucking Association (ATA).
Mar 9, 2021
I am guessing i can register my complaints but these get me no refunds.

This is a corrupt organization

This is a corrupt organization. They are beholden to the moving companies and do everything they can to make the claim process difficult. If you have to use them you are screwed. I plan on reporting them to the FMCSA, BBB, and send letters with accompanying pictures and copies of their correspondence to every elected official and governmental body I can think. I had thousands of dollars of damage and a delivery guarantee that cost me $1,800 and they then delivered 5 days late. This useless company offered me $91. They all belong in prison. They're probably high fiving each other for ripping off another consumer while serving their moving company masters. They probably owned by owners of a moving company in a back end way.

Completely sham insurance company

Completely sham insurance company. We informed Wailea Movers that we needed to file a claim for a damaged painting on May 9, 2022, a few weeks after our items were delivered. Our moving contract stated that we needed to inform Wailea Movers of our claim within 90 days of receipt of items. Wailea said they reached out to the insurance company to start the process, but despite many attempts to follow up, the Moving Claims Services didn’t reach out to start the claims process until June 9. We provided all requested paperwork on June 20, which MCS confirmed they received, though they didn’t inform us that they received the claim until August 9, 2022. At that time, we were not alerted of any issues with the claim and the only timeline received stated that federal law allowed 120 days to resolve a claim. Between June 20, 2022 and April 2023, we followed up no less than 17 times, requesting an update on the claim. They responded only 3 times to say it was “in progress” or that they would look into it that afternoon (October 2022, no further communication after until April 2023). We received a letter via email, April 10, 2023, a full year almost to date of our move, stating that they had denied our claim in December 2022. This is the first time we received this notice and their justification for denying the claim was because they claim had taken too long to be filed and they weren’t responsible for items after they were delivered. I don’t know anyone that is able to immediately unpack all of their belongings while the moving company is still on their property. MCS drags out claims processes to avoid payout, are almost impossible to reach, and when they do communicate they conveniently leave important contacts off of the email. They also stated that we did not inform them prior to the move of any “valuable” items. Wailea Movers did a full in-person survey and packed all of our belongings. At no time did they indicate or suggest that we should purchase additional coverage.

Totally Useless, Don't Waste Your Time

As you can see from consistently negative reviews and no replies from the business, those people just don't care.

My advice to you if you are trying to file a claim with them: Don't even bother, you have already lost your money, don't waste your time.

I did try to submit a claim a few times, got confirmation emails only to then find out after a few months that they never received the claim. Tried to submit via email, online, never got an actual person to confirm the receipt, so I gave up.

Useless

My moving company, Hercules Movers, forgot to deliver an expensive floor lamp during my move. They referred me to movingclaims.net and I spent so much time filling out the same form over and over. I moved at the end of June and it's October and my issue is not resolved. Very unhappy with the service.

Terrible

Terrible. It is unclear if human beings work at this company. I made several attempts to speak with a human, and they all failed. I was sent to this company via my moving company. The moving company ruined my new mattress (had to throw it out), damaged furniture and lost boxes estimated by me to be upward of over $2,000. The claim came back with the result of $107 with zero guarantee of payment. Waste of time. Please heed my warning and take your claim to another company.

Scams

Didn’t even use it, I figured it was fake. If you’ve had a bad experience go to

FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration). This is the legitimate website for claims and complaints. These companies won’t tell you that. According to DOT they have 21 days to deliver, after that you are owed compensation. They are also suppose to provide you with proprietary documents.
