Poor Quality of Store & Service
Was turned away from commander night due to it being all prebooked - something their Facebook page doesn’t mention at all, so despite scouting ahead I had no knowledge of this fact.
When I entered, the employee told me this, so I then inquired about singles - which they told me they only do online. I keep checking, but their website has been down for several days so I can’t even inquire and have a look at what stock they have.
After talking to the employee, I briefly left the store, before going into the other side to see that they have sealed product; which he didn’t mention they had at all. If I didn’t know about the other side of the building from popping outside again, I’d have had no clue.
The store was very messy, disorganised and in very poor condition as well as empty. There was only about four tables in total, so capacity was quite low. There were several empty vending machines in the back and all of the furniture looked in fairly poor condition.
It’s clear from their Facebook page that they prioritise selling at conventions more than their local store.

Hi Scott,
Apologies that you felt this, I will cover each part in turn for you. It was myself you spoke too. It was fully prebooked unfortunately its not necessarily essential too book, but that day it did in fact happen to be that all the 6 tables upstairs and 4 for downstairs were fully booked sadly we can't control when folk book but occassionally we do sell out. This happens quite commonly on a Tuesday but we would generally recommend booking for anyday due to the limited size of the venue that we only have 10 tables.
We do only process singles through our website as not all singles are stored onsite and some are stored at our storage locations. The last thing we would want you to do is see a card you want in a Binder that is actually already earmarked for an order. The vending machines were empty as we have actually moved all the drinks and snacks through to the shop unit.
I do have to admit that on Tuesday the shop was rather disorganised this was mostly in part to we had just returned from the Calling Liverpool and had only fact been back in the store that morning, and had a vans worth of stock to put back into the store as well as the deliveries that had arrived that morning. I was also unfortunately working by myself to allow all the staff the appropriate amount of days off. With regards to the furniture all the chairs are fairly standard banquet chairs that are only around a year old.
With regards to the website being down, that was to allow us to reintegrate all the stock back in from the weekend and to catch up on the several hundred orders that had occured over the weekend we had been gone, and is now back online.
This was actually the one weekend that we had closed the shop in order to attend an event usually we have a team attend events as well as a team stay behind.

Ordered a board game from this website after seeing someone give a great review on a Facebook group. I am glad I found these guys because the prices are competitive and my game was delivered quickly and very securely (which can be a worry when buying board games from certain sites). 100% recommend and will definitely buy again from their online site
