Constant bugs, careless updates, and unhelpful support

The theme is under constant editing, with every update introducing new bugs or breaking and even removing features that previously worked and aren’t replaced. You end up working in a state of stress, never knowing what will fail next time you open your project.

On top of that, they’ve implemented a license-check API that uses rotating, non-static IPs. This makes it impossible for many legitimate users to edit their website, even though the product has been fully purchased and paid for.

The worst part is the support. Their responses to genuine issues are dismissive at best. Most often they answer: “this is your own / your host’s problem, others don’t have this issue.”, "Sorry, but we can do nothing with this problem, our hands are tied".

Even when customers ask for something very specific, like an API IP address, the answer is usually just “ask your host”, without even attempting to address the question.

Unless after the customer asks for a refund, in which case they suddenly remember their please and thank you and ask you to "wait, we did something, try again"

Reading the support threads here, you’ll notice they're answering on their consistent pattern: they respond with confidence while being technically incorrect. Even basic distinctions like global vs local PHP values are misunderstood or denied, and the tone is consistently condescending rather than cooperative.

The tone is incredibly rude, and it’s clear they don’t take the time to understand what’s being reported and lack the basic understanding of that their customers are telling them.

Save yourself the time and frustration. Choose a professional theme built by developers who listen, take responsibility for their own systems, and don’t expect you to redesign your hosting environment just to make their product function.

I'm having trouble understanding the negative reviews on here. At last count I had approximately 30 licences for the BeTheme Wordpress theme from Muffin Group. I wouldn't use another now.
I've worked in the IT industry for over 30 years and their tech support is up there with the best I've experienced.
I had a problem at 7:00pm on a Monday evening, they replied at 8:00am Tuesday, the issue was fixed by midday and a new update for the software was in place in the afternoon.
I can only imagine that there are a lot of fake reviews on here.

I am giving just one star for their good-looking themes.
One of the worst support, and the team I have dealt with so far among the tech companies.

They don't seem to understand the issue we report or they don't want to willingly support the customers. It is usually an understaffed and overloaded sign.

On top of it, they have a very complicated support portal, where I have been trying to register for nearly two months without clear instructions either from the team or the site design.

The support team is practically useless, and when you report an error, they claim they'll update the theme, but it never happens. The theme is poorly coded, and I could never get a PageSpeed score over 80 on mobile, which severely impacted my SEO. I've managed a farm of PBN sites and many money sites, working with themes like Divi, Elementor, Astra, etc. This theme's claim to be the fastest is an outright lie—it's actually the slowest I've ever used. I highly recommend using themes like Hello Elementor, Blocksy, or Kadence, which are genuinely fast. For example, it took me just 7 hours to build a site with Kadence, but with this theme, it took 3 weeks. No exaggeration—it's so complicated that it will drive you crazy. If you want traffic, keep things simple. Stop overcomplicating with "cool" designs that make building a site nearly impossible. The theme is riddled with errors and bugs—I have over 130 (404 pages) in Google Console, and support tells me that's normal.

As a satisfied user, I can confidently say that BeTheme is an incredibly versatile WordPress theme with over 600 stunning pre-built websites and the easy-to-use Muffin Builder. It offers endless customization options, allowing me to create a unique and professional website with minimal effort. The consistent updates and excellent support make it a top choice for anyone looking to build a beautiful and functional site.

My experience has been the same as other reviews. A request was made through Envato, but after three weeks they informed me that the Muffin Group had not got back to them. I can understand a few days, but three weeks is just not acceptable. After finally connecting with support they were unhelpful and actually rude.

I realised I made a mistake purchasing a few hours after purchasing, hard to use and not fast at all.

Got a very technical explenation from them instead of my money back. I am not a developer nor do I have the finances to hire one.

Not as 'simple' as advertised and not as fast as advertised, would advise everyone to purchase Elementor instead.

My purchase code was used somewhere else. I don't know how it happened. But they refused to provide support and stopped replying to emails. When I pointed out that this may be a case of data being used by someone who has access to it other than me. They asked Envato to block my account because I gave them a negative review at Themeforest. And they said I have been rude to them. The worst support experience I ever had.

I have to say that their Muffin Builder is simply amazing. The drag and drop interface makes it incredibly easy to create beautiful and functional websites in no time at all. I was able to customize every aspect of my website, from the layout to the colors, without having to know anything about coding.

The best part of my experience with Muffin Group, however, was their customer support. They were quick to respond to my questions and were able to help me fix any issues I had with my website. Their team was patient, knowledgeable, and provided step-by-step guidance that made solving problems easy.

It's hard to understand why Muffin Group has so many negative reviews, as my experience has been nothing short of exceptional. I highly recommend their Muffin Builder and customer support to anyone looking to build a great website without any coding experience.

This company is a hoax.
We purchased their software/theme, and when facing with bugs (saving would make all page content disappear) we reported a bug on their forum.

After asking for a couple of data, including a phpinfo(); with PHP variables, they started insisting that despite the LOCAL values being correct, we had to change the MASTER values.

Not only they kept insisting in this, went so far that claimed LOCAL PHP environment variables would only work if the MASTER values were greater, and even suggested "THEY TALKED TO MANY HOSTING ADMINISTRATORS AND PROVIDERS" who said this.

I can only wonder if these are the hosting providers that they continuously try to push people to?

I truly invite everyone to go and see this. Please. It's their forum and their claims!
Or open the forum and search for a topic called "Saving changes results in empty page" (we've also taken screenshots to the whole topic in the case they go as low as removing it).

It shocks us that not only they don't even know how PHP works, they don't even have the technical skill to do their own testing, in any moment they could make a test environment with low master values, set local environment, and do some simple tests. NO, they are THAT INCOMPETENT. They cite 3rd party supposed administrators and providers who confirm this abnormality.

We're simply appalled. What a bunch of zeros.

Excellent company. Been working with many wp devs so far and these guys are TOP! Their most trusted and popular product, Betheme, is worth every penny. I recommend it to each of my customers.

They are chasing people ramdonly without fundamentation, charging for licences or they block your website, no matter if it is a dev enviorement. They report my accout directly with Envato, claming that I owe them multiple sites based on my portfolio for clients who use BeTheme and didn't pay for their license. I worked with this theme and did make a lot of clients buy their main theme, and now they are spending more value on chasing developers that the theme itself. Please, be careful... It's 10/2021 and they are asking for a licence for a website that is live since 2017 and I didn't even install, just make a few changes for my client, now my Envato account is on risk when I already bought a whole year on Envato Elements...
