ip banned me probably because i made a criticism of the website on the forums one time

When I was still into Mugen I made an account there so I can download stuff, but then they locked my account for not being active there enough, plus, people WITHOUT an account cannot download files that are....whatever random number they pulled out of a hat or something. I don't know. They obviously think they are high and mighty, a promising site with hundreds of characters to download ruined by evil fedora tipping mouthbreathers, THIS SITE IS DOOKY!

Their website is the worst piece of crap I've ever seen.

They want you to pay for registration (as stated on their contact support, where the email for it never goes through). The lowest one-time payment is "$10 for 30 days" (whatever that means). If you think that's ridiculous, they also have a one-time fee of "$49.99 for 100 years"

limitations of downloading for new members not fair at all

The only thing i did is donwload characters, and suddenly i got IP banned just because i use VPN, i literally say nothing, did nothing, the only thing i did is stay silent and donwload, and still got banned. The moderation is a joke, full of childish people. Awful 0/10

Now I'm not a MUGEN veteran but holy this website has to be made from Satan himself. Like the ranks for example, if you are a new challenger or above good for you. If you're a Lurker be prepared for the most annoying experience in your life because if you decide to download something on the weekends you cant. because these demons called "mods" think that everyone has enough time to do a stupid forum or upload a bunch of files. The mods make the site like North Korea because even if you say you just wanna stay silent and upload you get banned.

Both Mugen Archive and MFFA are terrible, but Mugen Archive is a bit worst.

I was banned for some unknown reason, i even commented on that page, i wasn't an inactive member

I recently had the misfortune of stumbling upon Mugenarchive.com as a ex-junior Admin on this website, and I must say it was a truly underwhelming and frustrating experience. From the moment I landed on their website as admin, I knew I was in for a rough ride.

The biggest issue with MugenArchive is its toxic community. The forums are filled with rude, unhelpful, and disrespectful Moderators who seem more interested in trolling and stirring up drama than in providing constructive feedback or assistance for their community. It's a toxic cesspool that tarnishes the entire Mugen experience.

The site's moderators are incredibly heavy-handed. They enforce arbitrary rules with an iron fist and show no tolerance for differing opinions or any form of criticism. It's as if they believe they are the ultimate authority on Mugen, and anyone who doesn't fall in line is promptly silenced or banned.

MugenArchive is a disappointing and frustrating website that falls short in every aspect. From its outdated design and poor content quality to its toxic AdminTeam and lack of support for community, it's an experience best avoided. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for a better Mugen resource.

Are you annoyed by how mugenarchive falsely bans people for no reason? you are lucky there is an best alternative, check out the youtube channel called @DarkNightMugen this guy has a lot of mugen games and a lot of mugen characters on his channel and you can downlaod it free without risk of getting banned.

- How I Got Banned?
I got banned from this site just for nothing, The Admins on this site is suspicious of every new person, you can get a ban for fast file downloads, for example 50 to 60 downloads per day = ban and they don't even have that in the rules - they just find it suspicious...

I suspect that the entire admin team is a bunch of paranoid people on medication.

If ever there were a guide to fostering and developing a user community, it could be boiled down to one sentence:

"Don't be anything like mugenarchive.com."

And if another sentence were required:

"Seriously, just don't."

Toxic admins wielding an IP address ban like they're the guards of Fort Knox, and not a bunch of chancers looking to profit off other peoples work.

Got Banned for NO reasons
I was just back from school today, and was so exited to download some jus characters i found lately, to watch them play with ai, (i'm the shi of community ik). So when I opened up my pc to download some characters, there was a text on the site which said this: "You have been banned for the following reasons: No reason was specified." like what the hell man how am i supposed to support this site if they ban me for nothing, i think the only thing i did was writing a comment on a forum which said that in my country it was monday, so that the downloads should have been reactivated, but no. i hate this site.

I Never wanted to Do this, but I may as well.

I have NEVER seen a Site so Horrible and just flat out Ridiculous. For one thing, The Site Treats Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE Horribly. For one thing, when you Download too many files for the Game, It tells you "Hey, you need to Wait a few hours before you can download more stuff" and I'm like "Okay, sure." But when I go back into the site, THE PIECE OF S*IT LOCKED ME OUT OF MY GODDAMN ACCOUNT AND REFUSED TO LET ME LOG BACK IN! Seriously, Just Avoid this Fricking Site at ALL COSTS! I hope this Site Burns.

Mugen Has one of the worst community in gaming history (mugenguild sucks too),filled with manchilds and now toxic kids.

And a lazy devs who goes defunct in 2016 (elecbyte): rip.

Bandwidth limit is the real problem. Then there's the community weekend.

And the downloads for community weekends are alive to active members only. Sure it's just a day or two. I can handle waiting at that.

Bandwidth limit is limited to non VIP members. Uploaders, Donors, New Challengers and superiors are VIP members. Only the Lurkers get the bandwidth limit.

And the bandwidth limit stays there for one whole day.

Coincidentally, this was trash to begin with. Characters, stages and other items were good, but stalely unnecessary restriction was bad enough. They said they give those restrictions to make the site ad free, yet there are still ads in the server. Liars and trollers they are.

Here was this rotten message

"Sorry, you have reached your daily bandwidth limit. Please improve your rank to download more or wait 24 hours. Bandwidth limit is necessary to preserve the stability of our free and ad-free service, due to our limited resources."

They said "ad-free service" and "free service". What part of all of that were "free and ad-free"? I literally saw a Qatar Airways ad in the main page of MUGEN ARCHIVE, IS THAT WHAT THEY MEANT OF "AD-FREE"?!!!!! If they were to give "free service", WHY THE HELL ARE THEY GIVING INSTANT VIP PROMOTIONS TO DONORS?!!! ALSO, WHY LIMIT BANDWIDTH FOR RANK IMPROVEMENT IF THAT'S WHAT THEY MEANT BY "FREE SERVICE"?!! Are they playing us for fools?

So much for "free service". The hell is all of this then?!

The only real reason for all of this is to provide "free fanservice", not free web service, as this website is particularly a Discord platform for MUGEN lovers and users. In short, MUGEN ARCHIVE is a social media website.

Anderson Kenya 1 did better than this. Create an account and download as much files as you want. No restrictions needed there.

MUGEN ARCHIVE did one thing good, only that fanservice was super strong that the whole MUGEN collection was varied diversely. The irrelevant and unnecesary restrictions spoiled the rest of the website's reputation, which is the biggest shame in all of MUGEN history. If they were like Anderson Kenya 1, they'd be even at the top of the MUGEN collection websites. Too bad though, their adamance got then real strong.

Was away from home and checking the site on my phone, just looking at fighters my buddy sent me for later. Looked at about 5 pages before I was IP banned. Still not sure why.

I was a donor and supporter for this website and I got a ban for hateful comments for no reason, which the admins couldn't substantiate or prove in my appeal, so I got a ban on this site, which is an IP Ban.

I feel ripped off and disappointed by this site, people shouldn't treat their supporters like this, it's unfair!.

I think that the administrators on mugenarchive site are on some kind of power trip and it's not a coincidence, just scroll down to other reviews.

If only I could give 0 stars, I played mugen once 1 or 2 years ago briefly.

I never knew some bad things are happening on there between the community and the mods, I just downloaded a handful to characters AND NEVER PARTICIPATED IN ANY CONVERSATION OR ARGUMENT THERE.

Now returning to check some characters, and what I found is I got banned. WORSE, IP banned! For no reason at all.

Like bruh, haven't done anything that violated any of their TOS. Just want to download characters.
