Avoid Multirent

Multi rent at Pisa airport supplied a car without engine oil or windscreen wash. The engine oil light came on while I was at a service station so I purchased a litre of oil but they refused to refund the purchase, despite providing receipts and photographs of the oil light. The reason given was that I had not sought prior authorisation from them before the purchase. It was a Saturday outside of business hours so this wouldn’t have been possible. They had clearly not carried out any safety checks on the vehicle before supplying it.

Watch out

Watch out. Charged us an extra €15 a day because we did not have actual credit card but they did take payment from iPhone. Staff unhelpful. Car was poor, tyres walls badly damaged - but they would not change. Clutch burning - thought it would break down. Price seemed good originally but really not worth it. Recommend to use a professional car rental company

Good experience overall using multirent…

Good experience overall using multirent for our holiday. Would of given 5 stars but was made to feel uncomfortable when picking the car up. Was offered to pay extra on the day to have the car cleaned on return or be charged a fee if dirty. Declined offer, thought it must of been an upsell as should be accounted for in price for car hire. Lady went on to mock to her colleague that I'm happy to pay a big deposit for the car but not a smaller amount to have car cleaned. However the full deposit was returned promptly, very helpful in discussion on WhatsApp.

Total Rip Off and Unhelpful Staff

Total Rip Off and Unhelpful Staff.
I have recently used Multirent for my trip to Italy this year. The problems started as I first arrived as they stated I was late to pick the car up even and they had given it to someone else although though I had paid for the full day. I had entered my flight details in online so they knew when the flight was arriving. They tried to state you have agreed to their T's and C's but when questioned they then stated I have booked it through a third party...which one is it? They then stated they had no other cars and I have to pay for an 'upgraded' car otherwise I would have no vehicle.
Now 3 months later they are trying to charge 61 euros for passing my details for a 'street fine'. Stick to one of the well known companies as it will save you the trouble and the expense.

Absolutely bogus.

Absolutely bogus.
We paid the car up front with a credit card, that they then didn't accept as valid for the deposit. We had to pay 15 euros a dor using another card. Also the broker did not accept for the name of the driver to be changed, which would have solved the issue.

Also there are ekstra paymant for almost an possible thing you can imagine...

Only possitive thing to say, was that the local woman was polite. (Pisa)

Use another company!

Since this is a booking through a broker, it is not possible for us to change the name of the applicant.
We are sorry for your judgement, but the conditions are clearly stated in the broker's regulation and we have to respect them, so we cannot act differently.

Do not use this Company

Do not use this Company. I hired a car from multirent italia at Pisa Airport. The car was returned with minor paint damage that I expected to be charged for. However, they charged me Euro750 to repair a couple of paint scratches!! This demonstrates the worst possible behaviour of a car hire company! Shocking!

Be Aware about My Experience with MultiRENT Italia

If you rent a car from MultiRENT Italia be prepared to pay much more than you expected. I rented a car from MultiRENT Italia in May 2022 and still getting charges from them.
First, they charged me extra 210 Euros for "confirming validity of my Canadian driving license." Second, I paid them 1000 Euros for scratching car while negotiating narrow road in Garfagnana. Third, just recently, in November - 5 month later after end of rental agreement - they charged my credit card with 61 Euros for "the street fines management service," while providing a copy of fine on 5.38 Euros only.
I hope my experience with MultiRENT Italia will help you to make a right booking !

Distinti saluti
Il responsabile
