Good manuals to be productive quickly
Their programming manuals are as great as they claim in their website.
I was an ASP.Net developer, and for some reason I stopped programming three years ago. Now I needed to get back in the saddle fast and learn Java, which is new to me.
A few months ago I started studying the manual called Murach's Java Programming 5th edition because it targets Java 1.8, the version used by the company I work for.
I've been studying really hard during this Christmas holidays and I'm doing great: I'm already writing GUI applications with input validation, database access, exception handling and applying OOP. Unlike most of the other Java books which are too academic and boring, this one focus more on being productive in a short time.
