Really really bad customer service…

Really really bad customer service paying is extremely easy and unfortunately that is where easy ends.
The customer service team are impossible to contact they do not answer the telephone or respond to emails.
I paid for 2 card renewals and 6 weeks on still waiting for cards that work
It’s extremely disappointing as what could be a reliable service with well trained staff appears to be anything but.
Let’s hope they close the helpdesk and allow anyone to contact competent staff.

Do not try and activate digital card

Update it was finally fixed after several calls and emails but a very painful experience. You can also only have one card per device so doesn't work well for families.

After several weeks of trying to resolve the issue with transferring my card to the digital card it's still not working.

My physical card has been deactivated and the digital card has the same errors and now I've been locked out of my Museum card account.

Useless customer service...

Useless customer service...

My son and me both needed a new museumcard, because I lost them. I am emailing them for 2 months now. So far I got a replacement for his card and I managed to log in (seeing his card only), but now I am stuck again. I can't log in anymore, they keep sending me a link to set up a new password, but it doesn't work from my phone nor from my laptop.
At this moment they want me to renew both our cards (they expire in a month), but this is ridiculous... Every time a new person replies, they don't seem to read through the previous conversations. I also tried calling them, but gave up after a few tries...
It's really not worth the headache and now I am missing of two months. Yeah, I know, I shouldn't have lost the cards in the first place, but I thought at this day and age this should be a quick fix... I was very wrong...

Slight improvements, still a hassle with kids cards

Edit: since the latest update, several things have improved such as acceptance in musea, and children who can be switched from parent to parent. Sadly not both barents can simply have their kids cards loaded which is still a hassle.

I below is my original review which still has a few valid points.

Museum card is accepted by many, but not all musea in the Netherlands.

Don’t use the app! They have a new app where you can transfer your card to a digital one, but it is not accepted in some places and it renders your physical card useless.

I never received a reply to my complaint to their customer service, despite sending it by the official customer support link, per e-mail and the app store.

Terrible client service

My museumkaart had a print error and didn't work. I went to museums and had to pay consistently despite my card. The only way to contact them is via pay phone and it takes 35 minutes to get through to someone. They do not respond to "klachten". When I did get through, they told me that ALL they could do was send me a replacement card. I'd rather pay for museums in the future.

We are really let down by the customer…

We are really let down by the customer service/klantenservice with the Museum Cards. We purchased cards on 27 December and it was not possible to register the cards as the pictures were not accepted due to a technical problem on the museum.nl site. I spoke to someone at klantenservice on 30 December and was told there was a problem in the system and if we sent details of our cards they would process them and we would receive them soon/five working days. This week I followed up and on Monday was told there was still a problem with the system and so the cards could not be processed.

We called again today and spoke to a manager who said we can contact museums individually with details of the problem and request entry. This has not worked.

There needs to be an alternate solution as museum.nl has broken the contract in not being able to process the cards. We offered to collect the card in Amsterdam from museum.nl, but this request was denied. Now we have a trip to Amsterdam at the end of the week and no Museum cards.

After 1 year same issue

After 1 year same issue!
My old Museum Card expired. I tried to register my new temporary card (bought in a Museum) but the system says that I have already an account and first to login in to it. When I try to log in the system say my old cards are expired and I have first to register my temporary card. So I cannot do anything. Last year happened same things to me, I contacted twice the customer service but they never replied to my email. I wonder this year how it will go ...

Horrible site, horrible service

I went to one of the listed places to get a yearly museumkaart pass. There, I paid 75 euros for just a temporary card that I can only use 5 times and need to register within a month (31) days in order for my permanent card to be delivered to me. When trying to register, the system does not accept my non-Dutch phone number, and rejects all my photos submitted, even a pretty clear one take by a professional photographer! I am trying to reach them by the phones listed under 'Contact' in their website, and the phone does not even ring. I finally sent an email, to which I got a reply that they are so busy that they will reply in 10 working days! As someone very well commented before me, this is how you drive people away from museums. It is obvious that they have the monopoly on this service and they simply do not care to offer any quality on it, which is a shame!
