What Red One did was a classic bait and switch.

What can I say about this company? It's a complete joke. First of all, they have the slowest shipping in the world. Second, they think consumers are stupid or were born yesterday. Someone looking for a company specializing in music is supposed to know what they're looking for. I ordered an Ortofon anti-static brush for my vinyl records. I've been collecting vinyl for over 20 years and I know what I'm buying. However, they sent me three needle cleaning brushes. There's no comparison between the two. Then I emailed them and they replied the next day, apologizing at 10:00 AM and again at 3:50 PM, implying they had just realized their mistake, even though the order included a picture of the product. And they weren't even able to resolve the problem that same day. To this day, they still haven't given me a tracking number. I've worked in logistics for years, and when there's a mistake like this, it's resolved immediately, no excuses. That's why it's clear this store is just a website; they list 10 people with photos taken from Shutterstock, making it seem like they have a top-notch staff who help you solve problems when they can't even tell the difference between an anti-static brush and a needle cleaning tweezer. Imagine if you buy a $10,000 Allen & Heath console and they make a mistake—how do you complain? They're simply mediocre, lacking technical knowledge. It's a real shame. I come from another country, and I thought that in Canada, being a first-world country, they knew how to manage things professionally, but I see they're the same as, or worse than, a third-world country. It's lamentable; I'll never buy anything from them again.

This company is grossly inefficient

This company is grossly inefficient, careless — and potentially dangerous. Twice now I’ve received broken items, and the last one looked used and was covered in a greasy, possibly fecal-looking film. When I complained, I was mocked and told I use “ChatGPT to help me,” and when I mentioned past bad experiences, they blamed me for trying again. I was refused three times when I asked to keep communication in writing.

Read the reviews on other sites — notice how the good ones are usually one-off purchases. Deal with them twice, and you’ll see what I mean. Don’t give your money to a store that shows zero respect.

The outer box was wet and greasy enough that I half-expected E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus to start charging rent. Pretty sure Aspergillus was setting up a side hustle while Pseudomonas hosted a housewarming party. Nothing says “new condition” like a biohazard sampler pack and a free anxiety attack. I kid — but those are real microbes that thrive on boxes stored in filthy conditions.

They eventually offered a refund, but I’ve kept the box sealed as evidence in case I get sick. Wish I could post pictures. Oh, and yes — loose batteries, no warranty card, scratched bottom, and what looked like a hair under one of the rubber legs.

I’m 49, I’ve ordered online thousands of times, and this was truly beyond comprehension. Even if they send you a turd in a gift box, they’ll still be rude, condescending, and insult your intelligence.
