Terrible Customer Service - Waiting For My Refund

I ordered two pairs of boots from Muttluks. I returned one pair, which Muttluks received on Jan 22, 2025. I also had to return the 2nd pair received by Muttluks on Feb 18, 2025 (these received dates are according to Canada Post tracking). I have called on countless occasions with no response. I emailed on March 4, 2025, explaining that I would report Muttluks to the Better Business Bureau if my card was not reimbursed. I haven't received a response or reimbursement. I can see my story is not unique, and wish I had checked Trust Pilot before ordering. Do not order from Muttluks. They give Canadian businesses a very bad name with their shoddy customer care. The BBB is trying to help me get my money back. If that fails, I'll pursue other avenues.

SCAMMERS

I purchased boots for my dog in Dec 2024 and they ended up not fitting, so I sent an email to return them for an exchange. They sent me a UPS return slip to send them back and they said they would ship out the replacement boots. I have been emailing them for over 2 months now and no one will respond to me. Their phone won't even take voicemail and no one answers during business hours. They stole from me. I'm out $100 for boots now. I could sure use the money to get my dogs meds. What a scam company! I even message Marianne Bertrand, the owner of Muttluks on Facebook. I got no boots in return nor did I get a refund. I'll soon be making a claim against this company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!

NON EXISTANT CUSTOMER SERVICE

I purchased boots at the end of December that did not fit even though I measured per the company instructions.
Contacted Muttluks several times via email (even wrote to president of company). NONE of the emails were responded to. Their phone number says to send an email. While their product may be great ( I have yet to evaluate this) , I will now orderboots from another company whose customer service actually exists.
I cannot say I was not warned about the customer service prior to the purchase. My friends were 100% correct. STAY AWAY

Muttluks awful customer service

We have purchased Muttluks dog boots for over 20 years. The quality of their dog boots seems good, but their customer service is abysmal. So abysmal that we are looking for new dog boots, for the sole reason of having to avoid Muttluks, abysmal, customer service.

Muttluks does not answer their phone, during normal business hours, they do not return voice mail messages, and they do not return email. During the winter, Muttluks hides behind the excuse that winter is their busy season, and they are very busy. Muttluks customer service is equally bad, all times of the year, not just during the winter. Once, when we had a product failure, we painfully dealt with a rood, antagonistic Muttluks employee, it was ugly.

We made the mistake of recommending Muttluks to friends, for boots for their dog, and even though they followed Muttluks sizing guidelines, they arrived at Muttluks dog boots that are the wrong size. They, too, have tried to reach Muttluks, and encountered the same thing, no telephone access, no return return phone calls, and no return email. I suggested that they dispute their Muttluks charge with their credit card company.

We are told that Ruffwear makes good dog boots, we've never gone there, because we've been happy with the Muttluks product (not service), but, the time has come for us to abandon Muttluks. A customer can be burned only so many times by Muttluks.

The alternative to purchasing direct from Muttluks, is to arrive at a responsible retailer, BUT, that puts you at the mercy of Muttluks, if you run into a product issue with Muttluks.

Humongous size for small dog. No paid return

Although their products are made with great materials, the smallest dog boots they had said they were made for 1 1/2 inches paws... Well, they were humongous and very long. Not just a bit. I could put 3 paws of my dog in one of their boot. Impossible that they're made for chihuahuas and yorkies like advertized. The worst of all is that they didn't pay for the return. It cost me 20$ to send the package back. At a time when most companies pay for the return, not Muttluks.
