Zero Customer Support

Terrible Experience, But They Did The Job In The End

Giving 3/5 primarily because while they did the job eventually, they have nonexistent customer service. They essentially lie about having a support line -- I called and was unable to get put on the phone with anybody.

My order was held up for a long time due to an error with the check -- which they gave contradictory information about. Sent in a new check and they sent me my passport after a few weeks.

NEVER

I thought this is good company because it was recommended by AARP. Mistake. I’ll never never recommend this company to anyone. Better renew your passport personally, more cheaper. They’re expensive plus not easy to contact them.

Gov works is operating in fedex as a third party vendor. Total scam. Once you send your money in they wait and ask for additional funds. FedEx should be ashamed. Go UPS from now on.

Total Scam out $465.50

Total Scam out $465.50. They force you to call or email them but do not answer the phone, leave you on hold, and emails return undeliverable for days. The they automatically charge you more and do not deliver anything Bait and switch. I am driving 250 miles to do this in Chicago.
Fed Ex should not be connected with them, yet the charge of $465.50 on my card is from Fed Ex. I called them and there was nothing they could do except get on an online chat with them?

POINTLESS AND WORTHLESS SERVICE

The absolute worst service one can expect from a passport "Expediter". I was applying for a passport for my child. Govworks provided me instructions that WERE COMPLETELY INCORRECT. They are associated with FedEx, but when I went to go take a picture of my baby that Govworks TOLD ME TO GO TO the FedEx office said they don't take baby pictures. They then told me to go to a Passport Acceptance center that had hours completely incorrect to the times they provided me. All of this for $184 just to pre fill a PDF for you. One can do EVERYTHING THIS COMPANY DOES FOR LESS THAN A PENNY.

Scam, Useless, Misleading

Scam. Was directed there from the AAA website, thinking that it was an application submission service. All it does is charge you $160 to fill out your application for you, then send you a download link. You then have to print out the application, go get your photo taken, and still write out a check for the actual renewal… and mail in everything to the gov for actual submission and approval. Total waste of money considering you can just apply and pay online directly for a renewal and save yourself $160 for someone to generate a document for you, which then creates more work in physical shipping rather than just applying directly online. I can’t believe AAA is associated with these scammers.

Do Not use expedited passport service.

Tried to use the expedited passport FedEx collaboration. Filled out all documentation and presented my personal ids. Was charged $280 and told to take everything to my local USPS office for verification. USPS said they could not take the forms from Govworks because they are not traceable and I had to fill out the forms and go through the same process with USPS who charged me $220. Now Govworks won't return my request for a refund.

Just go to the passport office yourself

You are essentially paying for someone to go to the passport office for you, but in this case it is actually a waste of time and money, because they come up with fake reasons your documentation is insufficient and then ask for more money to do it faster while holding your documents hostage. You also waste time by sending your documents to a third party instead of directly to the passport office.

Definite Scam

Like everyone else has already said, they charge you 180 dollars in what sounds like is going to be a process that they take care of, only to give you a web form that generates a PDF that you have to take to the post office. I don't even understand what this has to do with FedEx or why it was on their site, but this is a scam and for $180.

AAA/My.govworks SCAM

I have used a processing company in the pass to get my travel visas, but this time I went w/ AAA which their company is called RushMyPassport. I paid $277 for a travel visa to Tanzania. After this was paid, I was redirected to the My.govworks site, looked legit but when I got my login and password set up, I opened the site and there was nothing there...blak page. I tried calling the phone number for original company (RussMyPassport) and was told they didn't do visas. So I have no info on how to get in touch with My.govworks. I went back to company that I had used numerous times before which is VisaHQ, no problems plus they were $100 cheaper.

ZERO WAS NOT AN OPTION

DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE!!!! I was charged a little over $200 just for papers to fill out when you can get them anywhere you can get the passport! I thought it would be easier and faster but it’s not. You pay for stuff your gonna have to do and get on your on except the application. Well, you have to print that out too so…. Not worth $200!!!!!! BS

Too Little, Too Late, Too Expensive

I found out my passport had expired and needed a new one in a hurry for a business trip coming up in about 3 weeks. My coworker gave me GovWorks as a way to expedite it. Fortunately, he gave me the URL to go to, because just going to their website will not get you started. I started the process and included all the paperwork they asked for. Because I used the expedited process, I had to include an itinerary, which meant I had to book an airline ticket. So, I booked it, printed the itinerary, and cancelled the ticket. Sent all the paperwork in. I got an voicemail and email from them saying there was an issue with the itinerary, but not what it was or how to correct the issue. Called them back, but was unable to speak to a human so I left a message. No response. Called them back again the next day. Same thing. Then the next day, same thing. Finally got someone to give me a call and they told me I needed my name on the itinerary and that I could email it to them, all of which could have been initially explained on their email to me. Sent them the corrected itinerary and waited. I got emails telling me the passport was being processed and they would let me know when it shipped. I got no further emails, nor was I notified when it shipped. The website does not give you any status, and you have to have the URL they send you to go see anything, but it does not update with status. I got it too late to make my trip. I would not recommend this company.
