Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. They deny claims even when the proper paperwork is submitted. I even resubmitted the claim and they denied it for another reason. I spent 20 min on the phone only to be told I can't speak to a supervisor and they'll call me in 24-48 hrs. In 15 years of HCSA dealings with several different companies I have never had such terrible customer service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
Robbed by this company through misinformation
I contacted Benefit Wallet prior to my retirement and was assured I could access my funds after my retirement (August 2024) through December, 2024. When I attempted to access the $749 remaining in my account, the claim was denied. I tried repeatedly over the next several months to contact the company, I recei8ved no response. Finally I reached out to my former employer, and they contacted the company for me. Today I received a telephone call from Benefits Wallet and was told I was "misinformed" by their agent, and that after my last day of service I could not access the funds.
Since (1) I was "misinformed" by their agent and (2) I relied on that misinformation, I believe I should be entitled to a refund of my $749.00.
If I could give this company negative stars, I would.
Stole my money
I’ve been trying to get my money rolled over into my current hsa for about 5 yrs now, they won’t send me a hsa card nor will they give me my money. They have my updated address they still won’t release my funds DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL STEAL FROMY OU AND NO ONE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WILLING TO HELP.

If I could give this company negative stars, I would! Apparently I had $1.01 denied on a claim that I submitted. I repaid that $1.01 no less than 4 times and my Flexible Spending card was repeatedly suspended for months!
There was no way to repay anything without putting in bank account information. So I did, with TWO different banks. Still nothing. Customer service was ZERO help! So incredibly frustrating. Our HR got involved to escalate this and STILL no response. I want access to my money and am livid that they're withholding use for ONE DOLLAR that I've tried to pay back many, many times.

Manage our money!!! We lost so much money through the switch back to health equity from benefit wallet but I still have to use benefit wallet for our dependent care spending account and they are such a joke. Constantly denying claims for my child’s preschool.

If could give them zero stars, I would. County of Los Angeles transferred employee accounts from Health Equity to Benefits Wallet. The customer service at the latter is bad, it takes too long to get reimbursed, and they are quick to suspend accounts. Basically, they are a contact center. Now, the employer is transferring accounts back to Health Equity. It is almost impossible to get a call through to Benefits Wallet. I am canceling my HSA benefits.
Terrible "customer service"
I recently join a new employer that uses BenefitWallet. I tried to call their customer service line ((877) 472-4200) to ask questions. It says that their open M-F 8 AM - 8 PM ET and they just have you go through an automated service, pushing buttons over the phone trying to answer your question. Which they do so very poorly. Then if you finally get the robot over the phone to transfer you to a live agent, it'll say "No agent is available during this time" and hangs up. Absolutely terrible experience. I can't even get started. I confident that I wont be using them in the future.
Greedy and anti-consumer
If your card got locked waiting for a receipt, they used to temporarily unlock it so you could use it. Now they won't do that. You can't spend YOUR money because they want to hold onto it longer for more profit. Another greedy company.
Benefit Wallet has major operational…
Benefit Wallet has major operational issues. For the 2nd year in a row, my funds (use of my card) have been suspended due to request for supporting documentation of claims that are routine care for me as a Type 1 diabetic. I never received a notification via US mail or a push notification to my email address, which is listed on my profile. Now I have no access to the funds in my account. This will be the last year I use BW for my FSA. The amount of grief it causes outweighs the benefit.

People hard earned money are being taken advantage of through third party greed. I am extremely dissatisfied with this new FSA administrator. Despite uploading the receipt and a letter clearly referencing sunscreen as an eligible FSA item based on their website, they continue to demand additional documentation. What a terrible company!

4 times on the phone with this company and hours of speaking to someone with an idonesian accent I could barely understand and an echo through the phone and I STILL don't have an answer. I wish I could find something good to say about this company but no.

This company manages the HSA established by my former employer and I can say I have never had such difficulty dealing with a company before. The account is serviced overseas. It is difficult to reach a live customer representative and when you do, they are of little help. Due to the fact that English is the representatives secondary language, it is very difficult to understand and the call centers are so loud, it adds to the difficulty. To have since changed addresses since the account was set up so I had to get a notary public to sign off on my change of address. For some inexplicable reason, they had to send notifications to my old address about the HSA to confirm I am not there anymore. This form took 2 weeks to process. The next step was I had to complete a dispersement funds request form and get this signed by a guarantor despite that this account isn't worth much. It will take 2 weeks, I am told, to be sent from the VA office to the office overseas and then 2 additional weeeks to process and send a check. Nothing is permitted to be done online. I think these delay tactics are done to hold onto others funds. I have to spend so much time liquidating this account that is not worth much. I would never deal with this company by choice.

I want to make it zero stars but can't. I have been trying to move my account to consolidate with the company I am currently working for. I started the process in August of 2023. They won't honor my request through Fidelity and came up with all kinds of obstacles while my investment sits as cash (has to be in cash to close account) getting .02% interest. Fidelity has assigned an account manager to assist but BenefitWallet will not work with him. The level of frustration is incomprehensible.

Worst Company I have ever dealt with. Denied all my benefit wallet HSA debit claims from providers - which I'm not quite sure how they can do without informing me since it is my money. Then to rectify, I was on hold for more than 2 hours.

NEVER EVER use this place for an HSA. I have an HSA currently that I have tried three separate times to retrieve the amount I put in from a previous employer, and they just won’t give me my money back. They use every trick in the playbook to make excuses why your transaction didn’t go through (if they even know), and they make you wait on hold forever for someone half-way around the world to answer on a fuzzy phone call you can barely hear. And then, they tell you the same thing every time. They won’t transfer your call to anyone else for complaints either.
Their customer service is non-existent.
They are scammers and they will steal your money. If I could’ve given zero stars, I would have.
