Hi Pseudonym,

It's our company policy not to respond to abuse or threats from our clients when they demand lower fees.

We found it quite unsettling that you tried to use the pandemic situation to garner sympathy in your attempt to have your fees reduced.

Wishing you the best finding another company to deal with.

The Best Way to Buy Bitcoin.

MyBTC is a service that allows you to buy BTC using a variety of payment methods, and up to significant amounts. This is important as a lot of services have low limits (especially for Canadians), and MyBTC allows you to make proper investments into the cryptocurrency market.

The platform is very easy to use, and the sign-up process is very secure, as they require steps such as identification to ensure that your purchases are genuine and safe. They take a lot of steps to make sure you receive your BTC quickly and efficiently.

Also, the staff is very responsive and helpful. They respond to enquiries very quickly. MyBTC is arguably the best way for Canadians to invest in!

Be cautious!!!!! I think I got scammed!!!

This was my first attempt to buy some bitcoin and all I can say is my experience with myBTC has not been good. I went through all the steps to open an account and get verified. I received a phone call from them to ask a few follow up questions and the person told that the verification was complete and I was good to go. I also received an email saying the verification was complete. I then received a text asking a few more questions, which I answered. I then tried to send an e transfer which was declined by them. When I try to log on to their website it says “I am not permitted to use their service”. I have tried multiple times to text, call, and email to find out why the e transfer was declined. When I call it says that the number is no longer in service. So after 3 days of trying to get in touch with them to get an explanation I feel this is my only recourse. Really disappointed in the lack of professionalism and I’m starting to think this was just a scam to get my banking info.

Further to the reply that was posted, that is absolutely not true!!! I NEVER received an email other than the one saying that my account had been verified. And I absolutely did not use a third party bank account. Not sure where you got that info from. Maybe if you would return emails or phone calls we could get to the bottom of this.

Hi Brett,

It would be impossible for you to be scammed since you never transacted nor entered your own banking information. We noticed that you had tried to use another individual's banking information to verify on our site along with other red flags that led to you being prohibited from using our services.

We take fraud very seriously at MyBTC.ca and won't allow our clients to use 3rd party information to verify their account or transact.

We politely informed you that Compliance had determined we couldn't service your buying needs via email. Your continued reaching out led us to cease communication completely as we need to run our business.

We hope this helps shed some clarity in regards to why we denied servicing your account shortly after discovering the indicator that led to the end of our business relationship.

Regards,

MyBTC.ca Compliance

35% Fee but Reliable

Very unclear fee description, charged me 35% fee, for a high BTC rate when purchased. I was unable to purchase with my other two main sellers. $10 flat fee for interac is disgusting, and was unclear under fees. I understand the fees, and I'm hoping you've made it clearer for other buyers now. so I changed it to a 3 star -edit 2021-09-13

Hi Rs,

Micro orders are available by popular demand as other platforms (or sellers in your case) do not offer the ability to purchase under $100 CAD in BTC. If we charge the $10 minimum fee for a micro order of $50 it seems high, but if you take into account the ultra high mining fees at the moment and our processing costs - we're actually just barely breaking even to help get you a very small amount of bitcoin.

This is an unusual complaint as our fees are posted both on our fees page AND on the order summary page which you confirmed before choosing to buy. That means you had the choice to accept the micro order fee or fund your account with more CAD to bring the cost to you down.

If you were confused regarding the fees you could have contacted our industry leading customer service over at help@mybtc.ca or called/texted us direct with your concern at 647-875-6717 before publicly casting false accusations and insults.

Feel free to give us a call to discuss with our team,

Buying Crypto Could Not Have Been Easier with MyBTC.ca

I cannot overstate how satisfied I am with my experience purchasing from MyBTC.ca.
From the onset they were professional, helpful and diligent; ensuring my account was set up quickly while also taking necessary security measures to verify my identity.
I spoke with a member of their customer care team who was beyond pleasant and helpful. He walked me through the process and told me that I could send any future inquiries via text message, which I absolutely love.
One of the best features of Mybtc.ca is the ability to purchase Bitcoin via etransfer. The process is quick and easy to navigate due to an easy to navigate interface free from confusing charts, ads and other general clutter that you often encounter.
Essentially, MyBTC.ca has taken a lot of the guesswork out of this experience and given me the tools I need to purchase bitcoin with confidence and ease.
