So Easy to Use Daily, So Many Features to Explore

For those who choose to record their daily food intake, this is the most user-friendly, flexible, comprehensive app available. It is so easy to select a food from the USDA database, change the unit (e.g., grams, ounces, cup, and many more), input or update the weight seamlessly, and add it to your daily log. In addition to the standard units found on a food label (i.e., macros, sodium, fiber, etc.), the app includes all the vitamins, minerals, carb sources, types of fat, etc. Everything that you can find on the USDA site but so much more convenient! (Note: choosing the generic version of a food will provide more of the extra data than the branded version which appears only to provide the food label info.) It is great to be able to automatically see the effect on your macro percentages whenever you add a food to your daily log. It also shows how much each food you ate contributed to each of the macro and other elements you selected. In addition it provides indexes such as blood sugar, inflammation, and amino acid completeness. To make it easier to input your meals, you can save preferred items, recipes, meals, and whole day plans for easy use another time. It also provides handy tools such as, nutrient ranking and a meal planner. Included as well are reference articles on each of the vitamins, minerals, and macros describing them and their top food sources. You can also choose which elements to track in the daily summary rather than needing to dig in to the tabs. For those interested, you can also download the results for a day, week, or longer to a .csv file to manipulate on your computer. Finally, in the newest version, the app includes a water intake monitor. As you can tell, this app does a lot, and it makes your daily input remarkably easy. I had used another app prior to this, but this one is far superior. For those committed to daily tracking of your diet, this app is the way to go!

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST NUTRITION…

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST NUTRITION APP EVER. Anyone can count calories. If you want your calories to count in terms of improving and maintaining good health, this is the best app. There is nothing like it. The owner of the app is responsive to questions. You can figure out how to improve your diet. I wish I were more articulate in stating how powerful this is in terms of giving a person knowledge on so many levels, not just how many calories they consumed! LOVE the recipe feature.

Powerful tools for amino acid scores

I found myfooddata by searching for a way to log and monitor my amino acids intake, since I felt a need to put to the test the claims about plant-based diets being sufficient. This is exactly what I need. Moreover, by logging everything I eat, I've found I avoid over-eating! Great support, too, and loads of tools that are well thought through.

Nothing like this anywhere else

Easily the most comprehensive collection of tools for macro and micronutrient tracking, with many options of convenience, like the Recipe function. The inflammation index, protein score and potassium/sodium ratio functions are spectacular time savers.

Tracking numerous micronutrients

It is always best to acquire nutrients from food than supplements. I wanted to track nutrients that are not listed on Nutrition Facts panels to reduce the amount of supplements I take and have searched for years! I finally stumbled upon MyFoodData. It is truly my favorite app and I look forward to using multiple times a day. I have lost weight, reduced supplements, and feel better. Thank you!
