Aliki is a great Greek teacher, with very clear explanations and a lot of patience. Highly recommended.

In July 2025, I attended the two-week summer school in Samos. I stayed together with Aliki in a lovely house, right in the center of Mytilinii. Aliki is a very kind and caring being with a great sense of humor.

I absolutely loved her way of teaching! Together with the other students, we once acted as if we were in a supermarket: I was the cashier, someone else was the customer, and another person was an employee. In this way, we learned very valuable vocabulary for everyday situations. Aliki explained everything very clearly, and whenever I had a question, she did everything she could to make sure I eventually understood. She took her time, and I always felt comfortable.

In addition to the lessons, we did many fun activities such as a boat trip, a Metaxa tasting, a ceramics workshop, and beach visits. Aliki also knew many great places where we could eat well. During these activities, we could immediately put our new skills into practice with the locals. Aliki was always super supportive, which made it even more fun to try.

I left the summer school with a great deal of new knowledge, a lot of motivation, and a strong desire to continue learning Greek.

I highly recommend mygreekteacher, and I’m already looking forward to the next summer school!

Wonderfully patient and skilled at assessing one's level. Lessons are paced according to need combine a fine balance of speaking, grammar explanations and handy tips. My lessons are online and I highly recommend

An Unforgettable Learning Experience at My Greek Teacher in Athens!
I just completed a summer school language course at My Greek Teacher in Athens, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! If you're serious about learning Greek in a warm, supportive environment, this is the place to be.
My teacher, Alexia, was absolutely fantastic — patient, encouraging, and incredibly skilled at breaking down even more complex concepts into simple, understandable steps. The lessons were well-structured, thoughtfully prepared, interactive, and genuinely fun, which made learning feel completely natural.
What I appreciated most was how practical the lessons were. It wasn’t just about memorizing grammar rules — we spent time speaking, listening, and even practicing real-life conversations with guests from outside the school. This hands-on approach made it easy to participate and build confidence without any pressure.
After finishing the course, I feel much more self-assured using Greek in my daily life — something I never imagined I would achieve so quickly. I highly recommend My Greek Teacher to anyone serious about learning Greek as a foreign language. I am already looking forward to coming back next year!

Aliki is a talented experienced teacher who is able to deal at the same time with beginners and advanced students like me. She always finds a way to help improving your level, manage the difficulties of the Greek language, etc. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to deepen the knowledge, would it be for a short stay in Athens and only 5 lessons or for genuinely immerse yourself hence studying it for years.

I've had lessons with other teachers in the past, but Alexia has provided me with a safe space to actually speak Greek. She is highly skilled at having a conversation with someone with limited Greek. As a result, my confidence and ability to speak has improved so much. In addition, she's a genuinely kind, warm, caring person and has a great sense of humour. The lessons are always fun and fly by quickly.

Aliki is a great Greek teacher. I have been studying Greek with her weekly for the last 2 years! she has a very thorough and deep understanding of the Greek language. she's very methodological and precise in her structured lessons, both speaking and in reading and writing.
On top of all this she's very kind, patience and thoughtful to your language needs. She does it all on a very personal level which gives you a lot of satisfaction and enjoyment from your Greek lessons!

All in all, I recommend her highly. I greatly value my Greek lessons thanks to all of this!

I started a few years ago with the Group Lessons with Alexia and I'm still looking forward to every lesson. With conversations and excersises my Greek is improving significantly. Every pack of lessons Alexia is trying to find new ways/methods/subjects to keep the lessons interesting. I can totally recommend MyGreekTeacher!

A lovely language learning experience, with attentive teachers and great progression throughout lessons.

I'm new to learning a language and was very nervous about starting, however Aliki made me feel comfortable from the beginning. The lessons are challenging and well thought out, and Aliki keeps a close eye on how I am doing to see if we can go further, or need to revisit earlier learning, depending on my progress that session.

Homework is set and responded to in a timely manner, with excellent points for further learning. I really enjoy the exercises and also the time Aliki makes for us to practise general chit-chat within sessions. The combination of the above creates a perfect learning environment and I feel I am progressing well.

The only thing that helps you learn a new language is practice speaking and learning new vocabulary, especially from native speakers. This monthly get together is a lot of fun!
