I recently visited this restaurant in Birmingham and, unfortunately, my experience was not as expected. We ordered Afghani-style rice with meat and kebabs, but the dishes lacked the flavor and quality I had hoped for.

While one young female staff member was extremely helpful and friendly, another staff member’s manner of serving the food felt abrupt and somewhat disrespectful, which affected the overall experience. Additionally, occasional shouting between staff and phone conversations created a noisy environment, making it less comfortable for diners.

Compared to other Afghani restaurants in Birmingham, and even a previous visit here, the overall experience did not meet expectations. I hope the management considers additional customer service training and maintaining a calm, welcoming atmosphere, as small improvements could make the dining experience much more enjoyable for all guests.

Ok, this restaurant serves Baltis but doesn’t even know what a Madras or Vindaloo is. It’s not my job to educate staff who clearly lack simple basic knowledge, nor to remind the manager not to glare and give dirty looks at potential customers. Such arrogance I’ve rarely seen save that attitude for elsewhere, not here. And when questioned, the waiter’s excuse was, “I’ve been doing this for 8 years and never heard of a Madras.” Honestly, such stupidity is beyond belief!
