Do not use my medical vacations!

Negative stars would be more appropriate.

Using my medical vacations (a concierge service) in Cancun, Mexico turned into a nightmare. Initially, they presented themselves as a professional and reliable option for coordinating surgery abroad. However, once I arrived in Cancun, their true nature became clear—this service is nothing more than a money-hungry operation with zero regard for patient well-being.

Constant Price Increases & Threats
Despite having a confirmed price before traveling, they continually increased costs, adding thousands of dollars in surprise fees. When I questioned these hikes, they threatened to cancel my surgery altogether—while I was already in Cancun, fully prepared and emotionally committed to the procedure.

Deceptive Communication
They led me to believe I was speaking with a surgeon, but in reality, the concierge service itself was handling all communication. I didn’t meet my actual provider until the last minute, making it impossible to build trust or ask critical medical questions beforehand.

Negligent Care Leading to More Surgery
The worst part? Their lack of proper care resulted in complications that required an additional surgery just two days later. Rather than prioritizing patient safety, they were fixated on squeezing more money out of me at every turn.

Final Verdict: Avoid at All Costs
For the excessive stress, unexpected costs, and sheer lack of ethics, I strongly recommend skipping these shady middlemen. Instead, deal directly with a reputable surgeon—someone who values your health over their profits. Don’t fall for these unethical con artists!

Would you like me to adjust the wording in any way?

Beware of My Medical Vacations

Beware of My Medical Vacations – Dishonest Pricing & Poor Care

My Medical Vacations is NOT upfront about pricing, and their dishonesty makes for a frustrating and potentially dangerous experience. They advertise one price, only to change it once you arrive. Their website states that they are merely “organizers” and not medical professionals, yet they answer medical questions without consulting actual doctors or dentists.

This company profits from both the patient and the provider—charging the patient a fee while also taking a commission from the medical provider. Their main concern is making as much money as possible, not ensuring quality care for the patient. After a procedure, they fail to provide written aftercare instructions, dietary guidance, or limitations. Instead, they book procedures with providers who clearly struggle to get patients on their own, then jack up the price upon arrival.

Worse, they hit you with “extra costs” after surgery. If complications arise due to their failure to provide clear post-op instructions, they charge even more to fix the issue—while blaming you for not “listening,” despite never having provided any direction in the first place. They claim a nurse will check on you twice a day, but in my experience, no one came for two days after major surgery. It was shocking.

They deny written agreements, change pricing on the spot, and pressure you into paying more by claiming other patients are waiting for your procedure slot. Once they receive your wire transfer, their attitude shifts—prices go up, and the quality of care goes down. This felt more like a basement clinic operation, with no regard for patient well-being.

I’ve had excellent medical procedures in Mexico before, but this was a nightmare. If they had been honest about what was truly needed, I wouldn’t have faced complications and a dangerous back-to-back operation. Do your research and stay far away from My Medical Vacations. There are fantastic, professional, and ethical providers in Cancun—but this is NOT one of them. Buyer beware!
