Avoid if you have another option!

I have just been informed that despite never missing a payment on my loan - Due to a ‘system error’, Aplo cancelled my direct debit. I obviously made the payment as soon as contacted me about this. However after making this payment I was advised that they have automatically notified the credit reference agencies and a missed payment marker has gone my payment file. They have admitted that this their error, but it will take at least 2 months to have it removed.
As my mortgage was due for renewal in Dec (this month), I am now stuck having to pay a more expensive variable rate!
They have offered me £20 to compensate me!

I appreciate that most people considering using this company might not have many options. However I would wholeheartedly say that I would not recommend this company. I have worked hard to repair to my credit file, only to have it ruined in one foul swoop by Aplo.
