In April I was offered a £1.00 CV draw on the site, which I made. After that, I did not notice a deduction of £1.00 from my account and forgot about it. I did not login to the site until today.
But last week I discovered the following deductions from my UK account:
9 April. £16.95
27 April £16.95
5 June £16.95
22 June £16.95
I DEMAND THIS MONEY BACK, and they say they will cancel my subscription, but I never had a subscription with them!
Would anybody pay £16.95 monthly, just to draw up a CV? Nonsense!
-
They now respond with a lie that I had a subscription with them, and that they have refunded the funds. Yet they refuse to refund the undue funds they have deducted - 4 x £16.95
------------------------------------------------------
I have reported this to my bank and I will report this to the police.

Super easy to use, made a dreaded task enjoyable. Couldn’t of been better 10/10

These people are scammers. They advertise as being a free CV writing service, but once you have invested the time and effort in writing your CV you are forced to subscribe to be able to download it. There is no obvious way around the paywall, and despite repeatedly contacting customer service about this, they just insist they do provide a free service but offer no explination of how to download.

I’d give a ZERO if I could. Don’t use it, they charge you £17 for nothing. You pay over £4 to download your CV, even though if says it’s for free and then they charge you for the subscription 2 weeks later. Be careful, don’t use it.

Just checked my Credit Card Statement to find that after paying £2.95 on the 2nd of June for a CV for my friends son (WHICH I WROTE!) as he was looking for a Work Experience Placement, I have now been charged £16.95 on what appears to be an ongoing monthly subscription basis!
Not only that but when I went onto their website to cancel this, I was offered a better price of £3 odd a month to stay!
WTAF!!!???
I have now put a block on any future payments to this company with my card provider and will 'chalk' the first subscription payment up to experience as I really cannot be bothered to waste my valuable time fighting them to get my £16.95 back!
PS: Most of their templates you can find for free on Google and I myself used ClaudeAI to write the CV.
His very first application offered him a placement that same day before they'd even met him (on the strength of that CV)!
My advice would be use AI and save your money (and the hassle of cancelling!!)
UPDATE:
So MyPerfectCV (despite everything in my review being true) decided to report my review as 'defamatory'!
Thankfully, Trustpilot disagreed and have just sent me the following email
''Hi again,
We're just following up about your review of myperfectcv.co.uk, which was flagged for containing defamatory content.
The decision
Good news — we've assessed the content flagged by the business, and determined that it's not defamatory. Therefore, we've put your review back online.
To see your review, you can log into your Trustpilot account or click the following link: your review of myperfectcv.co.uk.
If you have any questions, please let us know by replying to this email.
Thanks''
Maybe myperfectcv might like to put as much effort into fair business practices as it would appear they seem to be able to do in relation to attempting to suppress reviews that call out their somewhat onerous (in my opinion) activities!
Interesting also that no offer of a refund on the £16.95 that I was billed without my knowledge was forthcoming (unsurprisingly!)
