Piece of cake? More like piece of 💩
“Piece of Cake” turned out to be anything but.
My wife and I hired Piece of Cake Moving for our move this past weekend. At first, the movers seemed professional and friendly. Unfortunately, as the day went on, it became clear that our belongings were not being handled with the care we expected.
We didn’t fully realize the extent of the damage until we began unpacking. Both of our $600 shoe racks from Wayfair were bent and structurally damaged due to careless handling. They are now completely unusable. Our bookcase, which had been wrapped and taped, no longer closes properly because the shelves were forced out of alignment—we even had to use pliers to adjust the screws. Our TV stand, which was only three months old, now has multiple scratches and scuff marks.
Most upsetting of all, one of my computer monitors—triple bubble-wrapped, clearly marked “fragile,” and packed with peanuts—was cracked across the screen and completely ruined.
We trusted this company with our valuables, and the level of recklessness we experienced is incredibly disappointing. Especially given that my partner had previously used them without issue when she moved from New York, this experience was beyond frustrating and disheartening.
I would strongly caution others to consider whether this is the level of care they want for their belongings.

Excellent service! They do an amazing job!
I booked a last minute move yesterday at 4PM and today at 10AM they came to pick up everything. The customer service by phone was excellent, very polite and helpful. The guys that come for the pick up were super helpful, very professional, careful and fast!
Very reasonable price for the service they provided!
Will hire them again for future service.

The communication leading up to the move was fantastic as well as the day of the move. And then Darko and his partner showed up exactly as scheduled and they did a fantastic job and were mindful of the items and careful in every way. Overall the customer service was that of unreasonable hospitality!!! I would definitely recommend and definitely use them again.
