I ordered a 5 years plate on 04/2025 taking advantage of a $75 rebate offer (I confirmed that I am qualified this with their customer support after ordering). Although the plate was shipped on time, Their customer support sucks. I already started seeing redflags on the way their customer support responded to basic questions like when will the plate be shipped and disconnect the chat without any confirmation if my issue was resolved.

I received notification from DMV that my custom plate has arrived and installed it how ever, the Rebate card never arrived. I have reached out to their customer support through chat several times (over 10 chat sessions) and they would give the same answer that it is under review and I will get an email with in few days.

Fast forward, It is March 2026 (11 months past the order) and the rebate is still not sent. The customer support says they are waiting on response from their "home office" what ever that means and disconnected my chat.

They even blocked my IP from accessing the chat feature.

Please do not believe anything about rebate from this company. They are total scammers.

I paid for a 5 year term and they tried scamming me saying it was only 1 year term. I provided documentation and proof that stated otherwise.

$194 for 1 year and $540 for the 5 year, was only able to get 2 1/2 years of my paid plates. Now claiming they are expired and I would have to repurchase. Unacceptable!

Not to mention, their discounts aren't actually discounts.. they mark the price up when you hit the discount bottom and are actually paying the same amount.

Be cautious of them, terrible customer service. The state and entities only out to get money and not offer legit services for the consumers that keep them in business.

It's been three months and still not received my plates that I paid $570.00 for. When I contacted them, they were EXTREMELY rude and hung up on me in the chat. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE.

UPDATE: Jacklyn from MyPlates has since reached out and has provided some more information on the status of my plates. She even called the DMV to see when they were remanufactured and when I should now be expecting them. I appreciate MyPlates taking responsibility for their products, even if the DMV is the one producing them.

Two months later, and I am still waiting for my plate. Apparently, there was a delay in production, of which I was NEVER INFORMED. If you try to call their customer service hotline, they will say, "ohhhhh, sorry, that's a STATE-sponsored plate, so it's the DMV's problem from here on out." They won't try to help you in any way. Of course, they don't tell you ANY of this in the confirmation email; you have to hunt it down on their FAQs page. They are horrible communicators. If anything goes wrong with your plate, you basically need to go full-on Sherlock Holmes to figure out what happened; they don't give you any information. Will NEVER order a plate from them again and will warn everyone in Texas to do the same.

Horrible service, customer service is horrible, the persons answering the phones are rude and they can never help you, I order my plates 3 month ago and they keep on telling me to go to the county as ask, I paid them and they do not take no accountability.

This is a horrible company. First, their pricing is excessive. But I decided to order anyways. I ordered in April of 2025. I did the layaway and paid monthly and on time. I paid it off early at the beginning of August. I just learned my plate was denied. Shouldn’t they have been able to say that from the beginning before they took over $500 from me? Now they are telling me I have to wait for a month plus for a refund? Don’t use this company. They have horrible customer service and they lack any professional ethics. They get your money and don’t want to return it.

Don't even bloody bother. Trying to make me re pay an order fee for plates what are perfectly fine what were on a written off vehicle yet I have the plates and they won't let me use them unless I re order them and pay the $400 odd dollars. Have called them = useless. Have emailed them rude, useless and won't even offer any sort of discount, just money hungry

I ordered plates, paid for them, but never got them. When I reached out to them for an order staus, I was told that they do not issue plates for the state of Texas, and I would have to go to the state to get them.
The site is a scam. Buyer beware.

They cancelled my plates because apparently what I chose wasn’t aloud for no reason at all and didn’t tell me until the 14 days later (they say they deliver in a 7-14 day delivery period).

So basically waited 2 weeks to get told they were cancelled 2 weeks ago where I could’ve got a different name and already had them by now.

And to top it off the customer service people were rude and completely unhelpful about it and didn’t even offer any kind of compensation for how they fcked up

They provide plates of sub par quality with paint fading a year or 2. Then they ask you to replace the plates for a fee. Terrible quality and horrendous customer service. Do not get any plates from them
