I spoke to several people (ADT) about my alarm sytem bcause I cannot hear door bell in my house. Finally, today, ADT informed me I had to talk to Safe Haven ADT monitoring. By this time, I spoke with Kang . I was beyond upset. Kang was able to come down & i Was scheduled appt. Thanks for helping me & keep being professional. Yavonne
Wow. This "dealer" did not clarify that they aren't actually ADT. Turns out, I could have gone directly to ADT for services (at HALF the monthly cost). I've been having issues for weeks with making sure Safe Haven knows that I transferred service (sold the first house, called ADT directly to transfer service, and that's when I found out that I had been working with a "dealer"). I'm getting a bill for over a thousand dollars as an "early termination fee," in spite of having arranged everything correctly.
ADT can't even find my account with Safe Haven now. What a shitshow.
I was told from the salesman who also wrote it all down on their letterhead document that the cost for equipment would be zero dollars. They changed the price AFTER removing the system that the builder installed in the house. I agreed to only one smoke detector and yet they added several, they installed a control panel in my bedroom without asked, they installed outdoor cameras that look into my neighbors yards after I said explicitly that I did NOT want that. Now I get a message that my system is no longer recording because it met its quota which I would never agree to as I was attacked in my home while my alarm was off so constant recording is a must for me and what I had with Simplisafe. The panel in my bedroom turns on randomly at night while I am sleeping waking me up (why is it turning on? is someone viewing me in my bedroom????). They send a tech that tells me in my house that he cannot leave my own till I sign his document and settle this dispute and with him. Do you have any idea how terrifying that is for a woman that was attacked in her own recently??????? This entire experience has been a switch and bait on so many levels. I signed up because it I was told they are ADT, then I find out that absolutely nothing is ADT till after the first 12 months (per ADT customer service). I want the entire system removed and the contract ended immediately and a full 100% refund of everything, immediately.
Poor Customer Service. Technician damaged my brand new home during camera installation. Safe Haven never provided any repairs to the wall and surrounding area and continued to bill me. Total nightmare.
The most unprofessional experience and treatment. I am highly dissatisfied!
ADT is the worst security system experience I have had in 30 years as a home owner. You cannot even silence an alarm yourself. You have to have the company do it through a phone call. If you run to your pad to type in your code and don't get to your phone instead you'll miss their call and you'll have emergency services arriving at your door for nothing. They do not think you have the ability to evaluation and respond to something in your own house. So if you are helpless, maybe ADT is for you. But if you can see shower steam setoff your alarm and just want to type in a code to cancel it, forget this company. You'll spend valuable minutes dealing with them naked and wet instead of just typing in your admin code and getting back in your shower.
So they show up 3 times without a phone call ahead of time. When you do give them 5 minutes they trick you into signing up for something that has no explanation. They were rude. I was referred to as “momma” instead of my name. Since I decided to not sign up with them they stole the ADT sign that was in my yard that the previous owner had left. Stay clear of these swindlers!!!!!!!
ADT resellers who showed up less than a month after a new home purchase. Completely disregarded the no soliciting sign. Made the typical claim that my mortgage company should have let me know they were coming by (which is untrue). Asked if other ADT agents had come by and then claimed they had "jumped the gun" when I indicated they had. They made a number of inaccurate or completely false statements regarding privacy and security practices (including that they are invulnerable to data breaches unlike their competitors). They then tried to rope me into a 36-month contract promising free install and activation. When the contract was email to me for signing the activation fee had not been waived. Additionally, the inventory of hardware they provided consisted of cheap Chinese electronics that could be purchased directly from Amazon for far less. (For instance the Skybell doorbell camera retails for $150 while Safe Haven marks it up to $350.)
If you are looking for ADT security, go directly to the source. They offer lower contract terms, lower activation, free install, and Google Nest devices that are priced at MSRP.
