Disappointed with the quality of playlists

I have done several premium campaigns with MySphera. My music got placed on a few decent playlists, but most of the playlists were of no value. I'm a playlist curator and I analyzed many of the playlists closely, most of them had a mixed bag of music with zero listeners. Followers mean nothing if there's no one listening to the playlist.

That being said, Netta at MySphera has kindly responded to my concerns, but at this point in time, there is no solution to the problem. I'll try to stay positive, but unless this platform invests time and money into vetting their playlist curators(Tastemakers), I feel it's not worth my money to run campaigns with them again.

Scam money grab

I thought this company could help. They did the opposite. It wasn’t until I reached out for an update that they got back to me two weeks after I paid them. I got placed into one playlist which belonged to someone in the company because I got removed the next day and received zero listeners. This site is a scam. They take your money and hope you say nothing

Excellent Value for Money

I’ve used Mysphera several times and have been delighted with the results each time. They do the heavy lifting in matching artists with playlisters and influencers, at an affordable price. A very straightforward and great value business proposition in my option. I will be using them again for sure

Got no streams and ghosted when asking about a refund

I spent $30 on a campaign for an alternative rap song and only got added to 4 dead playlists that yielded 0 streams, some of which weren't even relevant like "thinking music"

Their site says if you get no placements you're eligible for a refund and you can read the refund policy "here", but the blue text saying here isn't even a link. I may as well have got no placements as at least 1 person with a dead playlist is bound to save the song and that means 0 streams and supposedly means you won't get refunded?

I sent a follow-up email asking about this a week ago and got no reply. Furthermore I also got no reply to my email first asking about what happens if I get no streams and this was 3 weeks ago. I'd like a full refund as I got nothing from the $30 spent

I'd like to think the site would work better with more accessible/mainstream sounding songs but someone's review here says otherwise

Also you don't even get a confirmation email when submitting your song and paying with left me thinking the service wasn't even active anymore until I contacted them the first time and got a reply with a link to see how my song is performing from their campaign. This shown me the 4 playlists with 0 streams, but now that the campaign has ended I suddenly can't log in anymore which is strange

Part of me does still think the platform/service is genuine but I think they need some more guidelines and to firm things up such as sending a confirmation email upon purchasing a campaign, giving you the ability to choose what mood or subgenre your song is to make sure it goes towards more relevant curators, changing the refund policy so if you get 0 streams you get a refund as opposed to if you get 0 playlist additions, showing what curators it's been sent to even if it got rejected, and stuff like that so it feels as if anything's actually going on and to make it more likely to get any result at all. Hopefully this can serve as good feedback to help you improve your site as I feel there is potential

Waste of money

We submitted an ambient song with male vocals. We got added to a Progressive House playlist, an Old School Piano House playlist and a Women's vocals playlist.
The latter got us 3 plays, the other 2 got us none.

Money wasted with no results

I went into this campaign hopeful after reading other reviews. The price was fair considering what the possible benefits would be. But, after a month and only a few added playlists with no streams, I would not recommend using. Considering my song is in the Pop genre, I would think there would be more suitable playlists in their catalog of hires.

MySphera - Definitely worth your time for playlisting

Tried a number of different playlisting companies. Some work (DailyPlaylists - lightweight and minimal cost; Groover - same with some targeting), some are awful.

MySphera is one of the few that keeps a rather low cost to consistent return on investment. Would love to see additional transparency as they build out an artist dashboard, yet that's the only qualm with an otherwise solid playlisting service. I've recommended this one out as one of the few that actually returns value!

Wasted money

I tried this service for my new track and the result was decidedly negative. They managed to distribute the song to 4/5 Spotify playlists, but they are unlistened playlists with very little following. Result.... I had no listens!!!! Be wary

Hello Luca, hope all is well on your end.

First, apologies for any inconvenience we might have caused you.

Secondly, no-follower playlists can be a result of one of the following:
1. a new playlist by a tastemaker. This playlists often grow and can become very impactful down the line.
2. A playlist curated by a music lover (a person who uses MySphera for music discovery and his potential impact is not enough to be considered a tastemaker). These features are Extra, and don't come instead of potentially matching you with tastemakers.

With all that said, our goal is to help musicians not to frustrate them. We would be more than happy to provide a full refund & if you want we can run an additional campaign on us to hopefully give you a better experience.

Thank you for the review & a happy new year!

Really a great discovery, I couldn't do without it...

First of all, the support is fast and very efficient and the customer service is absolutely incredible (nothing to do with the competitors). MySphera puts us in touch with resources that are not accessible on other platforms and are truly dedicated to making our campaign work. I will use this service on a regular basis, that's for sure!

Your results depend on your music’s quality.

MySphera won’t blow you up overnight. But if you think paying for a playlisting campaign does that, well…

I’ve worked with MySphera a handful of times, and you can be sure you’re getting real playlists, with real listeners. This means that while you might not get all of the plays/visibility you’d want, you do get a real view of what genre/size playlists rock with your content, and results proportional to your music’s quality.

Playlisting campaigns are supplementary to your organic and ad spend efforts — they don’t replace them.

DO NOT USE MYSPHERA

I ran two campaigns with two different types of music, and both were placed in the same number of playlists at different prices. The problem was that I was only added to 3-4 playlists with a maximum of 500 followers, and the playlists only gave me a total of 13 listens for each track, which is very little for 30 dollars. These playlists are not reliable and are half the time fake, you just have to copy and paste the link of your playlists in artists.tools which is a site to see if the playlists are fake and it will tell you. There's a lot better than mysphera on the market, just keep looking and you'll find what you're looking for.

Mysphera delivered

Used Mysphera for the first time last week - within a couple of days they had found a few playlists that matched up with my track and ultimately drove around 40 listeners per day. Can only compare to submithub - what I find nice about Mysphera is they do all the legwork identifying the proper playlists. They did what they advertise.
