Watch out for automatic enrollment in "On-Approval" shipments

Just a big heads us to consumers. If you respond to any of their advertisements or "special offers", Mystic automatically enrolls you in on-approval shipments for which you will be billed every few weeks for shipments that can cost more than $25/per shipment. Also, they bombard their customers with more junk mail than any vendor I've ever done business with prior. They have a great website and nice product, but, just be aware of what your order from them.

Jessica from Mystic here. Want to clear up one thing - Mystic doesn't "automatically enroll" customers in anything. Customers who order one of our advertised offers can review stamps sent on approval. We include a postage-paid envelope to send them back if you aren't interested. No obligation.

They would not even make an offer

They would not even make an offer for my stamp collection. According to the prices on their web site, the collection was worth about $3000. After checking prices on eBay, I understand why they could not make an offer. They charge 2X to 4X what you can find on eBay. My guess is they have a glut of stamp inventory, but they do not want to lower their prices to meet the market because that would mean they would have to write down their inventory value. The company is stuck, and whether buying or selling, customers get a bad deal (or no deal).
