I was looking at their site which…

I was looking at their site which claims that the products are made in Denmark, but something smells fishy here, because all their stockists are in Japan and delivery “from Denmark” to Europe is a whopping 40 euros. Moreover, they claim that if you subscribe to their newsletter you get a 20% discount (true) + free delivery (untrue). To me it seems likely that they are actually based in Japan and upon delivery international customers might get also slammed with customs fees.

Hi Dani,
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts, I appreciate your feedback. I’d like to clarify a few of your concerns:
All of our products are designed, developed and produced at our own knitting factory in Denmark, which I established in 2020. Regardless of where our customers are based, every piece is made-to-order locally at my own knitting factory in Denmark. We’re proud of this setup, and we regularly host open studio days where anyone is welcome to visit our factory, see the made to order production process, and meet me and my small team in person. You are very welcome to join our next open studio day. We love meeting our customers and hearing their thoughts.

Regarding our stockists, you are absolutely right we do have a strong presence in Japan, and we ship globally from Denmark, which is why international shipping costs can vary. That said, you are absolutely right to question the European shipping rate and we recently discovered that it was not set up correctly, and we have now adjusted it to a more reasonable level.

As for the newsletter offer, the 20% discount + free shipping is valid worldwide. If it didn’t apply at checkout, it may have been due to how the code was entered, and we’d be more than happy to help you resolve this.

I completely understand how some of these points might have seemed confusing at first, and I appreciate you bringing them to my attention so we could improve.
If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to us directly at hello@nadiawire.com and my colleague Olivia is happy to help you further.

Best regards,
Nadia
