Sadly I wouldn't trust NAPFIS, I had 6 fire doors that needed some repairs and a safety certificate issuing, we were recommended a NAPFIS engineer who attended and quoted £1600, we accepted the quote but at the end were given a bill for £2100!
We were given the safety certificate certifying all 6 doors were up to current regulations.
However on checking we found every door had problems and some were worse than before, doors had holes right through so you could see out, hinges had screws missing, gaps in closure's, large gap under doors, numerous screw holes and very poor repairs generally.
Initially he apologised and said his son had done the work and he hadn't checked the work however we found out that was a lie as it was the boss himself that done the work.
I contacted Gary who was initially shocked but then all went quiet and I got rude, slanderous and threatening emails from them.
Luckily I have lots of evidence to pursue this and have this cowboy shut down.

We have been proud members of NAPFIS since 2017 and have found not only their initial training but also their ongoing support over the years to be invaluable. Gary and his team are always approachable and happy to talk through any project, offering guidance and reassurance whenever needed. It’s also fantastic news that they are now obtaining UKAS accreditation themselves – a great step forward. NAPFIS are a wonderful organisation to be accredited, and associated with, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
