Passionate Team of Teachers and Therapists

I currently work at NOS and the staff are absoloutely incredible! Both the teachers and team of therapists are very dedicated to supporting young people at the school and have the most patience, expertise and understanding!

I really can't put up with this…

I really can't put up with this placement anymore. One teacher tells my Son one thing, and another says the opposite. This is hell on earth.
Also, keep reporting my disabled son for his behaviours, even though its part of his disability. They love stressing kids out and families, and just try to promote themselves as professionals.
Anyone wanted to share their negative experiences are welcome.
This school is not for disabled kids.
Don't waste LAs money please.
If your kids can't manage school, there are some amazing teachers out there that are supportive.
Good luck to all that are unhappy out there.

NOS: TCES HELPED OUR SON REALISE HIS OWN POTENTIAL

When Our Son started with TCES in September 2024 he was learning @ Yr 7 level in all Subjects.
This is due to having various Diagnosis, Difficulties and Concerns ( AUTISM,
HE WAS 100% NON- VERBAL HE IS NOW 75% THANKS TO THE HELP & UNDERSTANDING OF HIS TEACHERS HE ALSO HAS WORKING MEMORY ) Are just a few! Which his Previous SEND School didnt adhere to his EHCP for. They had the funding from the LA however failed to use it to help Educate our Son!
Lots of fighting with the SEND School & LA to get our son AP with National Online School : TCES
Our Family have found this School to be
'The Best Of The Best for SEND & SEMH'
Our Son recieves: Core lessons tailored to his learning needs, Life, Humanity, Therapy, Peer Mentoring, Project Based Learning
& After School Clubs!
Every class is recorded for the safety of the Teachers & Students as safeguarding is at the forefront of Online learning so everyone feels safe so they can teach & learn.

December 2024 his English Tutor said that his English work was that of a Yr 10 Student so suggested to our Son he move class after the Christmas break. Our Son thought long and hard over the Christmas period as he finds any sort of change overwelming and was already used to his English teacher & other students.
However he decided to take the plunge and move up!

January 2025 our son started his Yr 10 English and in May he did his English Mock Exam which he passed with a Score of 31/33!...

Then in July he sat his English Functional Skills Level 1 and recieved his results 21/08/2025
He PASSED!

Now in Year 11 and learning at year 8 in other core subjects.
He getting ready to sit his English IGCSE!

September 2026 he will be moving onto Post 16 with TCES

Both of my children attended this…

Both of my children attended this school. My Son was there through years 10 and 11, when he arrived at NOS he had EBSA and was completely withdrawn from his education, written off by a school that didn’t want to support him and he wasn’t even leaving our house. Through his time at NOS he was shown kindness and support by teachers with a deep understanding of EBSA and of Neurodivergent pupils. He thrived here, he achieved GCSEs we were once told he would never get, and now he’s an outgoing confident young man who went into the world with all the tools he needed to succeed thanks to the schools approach and his teachers care and support. My daughter spent 6 months at NOS in her crucial year 11, she had 30% attendance in year 10 and in year 11 at her school and she too was broken by the system. In the space of 6 months running up to her GCSEs she was supported, cared for and given the education she deserved in the way that she needed it. She achieved 8 GCSEs all passed thanks to the hard work and dedication of her teachers at NOS. We cannot thank the school enough for everything they have done for us.

I attended this school through years 10…

I attended this school through years 10 and 11. When I first arrived I had been through an awful time in mainstream school, I was effectively broken by the system that fails SEND kids on a daily basis. This school saved my education. Thanks to all of my teachers who not only taught me what I needed to know to achieve my goals but they genuinely cared about me, supported me and gave me the confidence to go into an in person college after achieving my GCSEs and to be able to leave my house again. Without my time at NOS I would not be where I am now. This school is different and amazing!

Fantastic school for kids with EBSA

NOS has been an amazing school for my child. They are able to do all the learning they would in a mainstream school, but from the comfort of home. The staff make regular contact and keep me up to date with what is happening. The therapy groups are also great for my child. They love D&D. We would be lost without NOS

TCES was a major disappointment

TCES was a major disappointment. So many promises in marketing and sales and beyond poor execution. SENCO was worse than mainstream overrun SENCO and leadership full of excuses and delays to the providing the support promised. Avoid.

My child is learning very little

My child is learning very little, and gets told he's doing well.
I would never recommend this school to anyone. This is only for children who are academically able, and want to achieve.
There is a serious lack of information between staff, leaving my child misunderstood, when he's a seriously vunerable child.
He's also given very misleading information, causing frustration. We have had to call ofstead and the DFE to report them.
The school should be closed down.
