I am writing this review based on a recent windscreen replacement for my BMW i5 by National Windscreens Sheffield on behalf of my insurer, Aviva. While the initial booking process was straightforward, the service I received was unacceptable.
Following the installation, I was left with significant visual distortion in the Heads-Up Display (HUD) and noticeable wind noise—issues that were not present with my original factory-fitted glass. It is clear that the quality of the replacement part or the standard of the installation (or both) is fundamentally flawed.
I immediately raised this with National Windscreens but they were not interested in rectify, claiming this is the only glass they can source.
Furthermore there were pieces of broken trim clips in the footwell and the wipers weren't even refitted correctly.
I certainly cannot recommend their services for modern vehicles equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) or HUD, as they have failed to meet the necessary technical standards. Also very concerning that they lack the competence to undertake even basic elements of work like fitting wipers.
I am now left fighting this out with the insurer to rectify. Stressful and way below the level of service expected. Avoid!

The lad who came to the house was polite, friendly and efficient. He explained what he was going to do and then talked me through the work when he had finished. Top notch. Please be aware that front windscreen can often be replaced quickly but there can be a wait for rear glass. I had both done and the time for replacement from notifying insurance to replacement was 4 working days.

Excellent service with care. I had my windscreen replaced at Sheffield garage. I was offered workspace to work while the windscreen was being replaced. Booking process all the way to completing work has been easy and professional. I got regular reminders about my appt and the completion paper work was sent online in couple of hours.

Replacement glass roof panel is thinner than original and noisy , it also seems to have affected the passenger door as this no longer seals correctly. Taken back to have refitted and although told this was done not sure as no change. Seems to have affected the passenger door too as it no longer seals correctly.

regarding the poor service I received from your Sheffield branch.
The appointment was not completed within the agreed time slot, causing considerable inconvenience. I had arranged my day around the appointment and expected to be kept informed of any delays.
When I contacted the branch for an update, I found the manager’s attitude to be rude and dismissive. What was particularly frustrating was that I was given contradictory information regarding the technician assigned to my vehicle. The manager initially told me that the technician had lost his work phone and that they had no way of tracking or contacting him. However, during the same conversation, the manager then stated that he had spoken to the technician on his phone and had passed my contact details to him.
This inconsistency left me questioning whether I was being given accurate information and did little to reassure me about the delay.
In addition, when I eventually dealt with the technician, I found his attitude to be rude and unprofessional. As a customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect, even when delays occur.
The combination of the missed time slot, poor communication, contradictory explanations, and the attitude of both the manager and technician made for a very disappointing experience and fell well below the standard I would expect from National Windscreens.

Although I was not present when the technician arrived ,my partner said he was polite and friendly and just got on with my windscreen replacement.It was a rescheduled appointment due to car repair overrunning. When I arrived home from work, it looked a good job.
