Great experience at Natuzzi again with Amo

We have bought a few pieces of furniture and sofas from the Wednesbury Natuzzi. Today we purchased another piece and we were looked after by Amo. Even though we came in near closing time, he still didn’t rush us through and he helped with choosing the right accent chair and the right colours. It was just past closing time and he still happily placed our order. Would definately go back again.
Thank you Amo for being kind and professional.

We went in to the Wednesbury Store on 30th of August and I bought 2 x Sofas for our new home, and left £2000 deposit with a remainder balance of £4950. we took the 12 months deffered option for the balance as we could pay this off during the 12 months period with Novuna Finance, when we got back home we double checked the depth and found it was a lot deeper than our current one and would take up more space in the lounge it was also a lot longer again taking up too much space on the wall, we went back in on Sunday 31st August at 11am and looked for an alternative but couldnt find anything, so we asked for a refund and to cancel the order, this was when their hole attitude changed the store Manager Darren was less than helpfull and said its there policy not to cancel any order and i wouldnt get my money back, nothing would have been manufactured yet, my self and my wife both feel like we have been robbed, in less than 12 hours from placing the order they wont refund us back our money, i have never dealt with a retailer like this before, no empathy at all. My Dad passed away in December so that is still very raw and dont need this added stress, i feel like they have stolen my money, im also not the best at reading the small print as i dont read that well, and didnt have my glasses, their small print they ask you to read is soo small, I thought we were buying from a reputual company - but infact they have robbed us, i have raised a Section 21 complaint
the store manager emailed his Boss and 2 days in still no responce.

The worst after sales service

Sofa delivered with a 28mm height difference between the two halves.
Store manager Darren says he has contacted head office but nothing done.
Formal letter of rejection ignored.
I'm about to send a pre court letter before opening a small claims court case.
No complaints policy or UK address to be found on their website......

Rude & Patronising Customer Service !

We purchased a sofa from this store on 6th September & our initial experience appeared to be great. The sales person Shazad seemed helpful, knowledgable & friendly, we cut a deal, laid down a deposit left feeling over the moon.

Six weeks later we got a call to say it had arrived in UK very impressed & all very quick. We paid the balance & the delivery company contacted us with a delivery date of 26th October, asking us to clear the room & dispose of our old sofa which we did on 25th October.

Now this is where the problems start on the morning of the 26th around 9:15am we had a phone call from delivery company saying they would not be delivering due to a driver being ill & could re arrange for 28th October.

This was a big inconvenience as one of us had to specially arrange a day off work also the fact we had 2 more nights without a sofa &we only live in a small flat so had no other seating apart from a couple of dining chairs.

No we worries we thought people get ill but I'm sure Natuzzi Wednesbury will help us out especially as our initial experience was great at time of purchase.

We contacted the store & eventually got to speak to the manager Darren & told him of this problem, he half heartedly offered me a shallow apology on behalf of the delivery company. I then asked him if there would be any goodwill shown for the inconvenience to which he replied "i doubt it but i will contact head office & ask them" ?
Well the answer was no, as the sofa was delivered within 48 hours of original date basically a like it or lump it reply!

So the morning of the 28th rolled around & after two nights of sitting on dining chairs we could not wait to have it delivered.

It only took 30 minutes to get up our stairs & assemble but on doing so the delivery guy asked me where can i plug it in as been as it was a dual electric recliner & he wanted to test the mechanism was working.
To my total surprise i said it doesn't need plugging does it as it runs on batteries, he replied yes they can but this order had no battery packs specified on invoice.

At no stage were we ever told this by Shazad! He really did give us the impression that it was all included in our deal, waxing lyrical about how electronic recliner technology had moved on with battery packs & no need for extra unsightly wires & ease of convenience the fact is we honestly would not have ordered the sofa if it was mains operated would we as we have no where to plug it in ?

So now we can't plug it in & its not fit for purpose, no problem we thought phone up Shazad or Darren & they would bound to be able to help us find out what happened to the battery packs & arrange to get them fitted?

Got through to Shazad, his attitude changed somewhat after hearing we had an issue. When we challenged him, he was telling at first the he couldn't remember all specific customers as he saw so many & it was seven weeks ago he then went on to say this is what we ordered and that the price quoted didn't come with battery pack. Only at this point we were told that the battery was going to cost us a further £150.00 otherwise he wouldn't be able to help any further. We were then told to speak to the store manager if we wanted to take the problem further.

The manager, Darren, called and sadly had the same poor attitude as the salesperson, stating we had been given what was ordered and that we may need not one but to two batteries at would now cost £300! if we had been told of this additional charge at time of purchase we would not had any issue paying for it but we were not.

Darren said he will need to speak to the head office on Monday 30th October and get back to us with an update, but we are still waiting....

We feel the attitude of both the sales person and Manager changed dramatically as soon as a problem was apparent. The customer service shown by all parties has been shockingly unhelpful, and most definitely lack of any empathy, made what was supposed to be an enjoyable purchase turn into a disappointing experience.

Our advise would be to avoid buying anything from this store as once they have your money they really don't care !

BUYER BEWARE !!!
