Very poor customer service never get hold of a person, mobile app repeatedly changes prices at check out and takes you back to the start, messages sent to Navan support result in "Thank you for your interest in Navan! We invite you to take a tour of how Navan works in this 2-minute video. If you’d like a closer look at the state of the travel and expense industry, please check out our annual report"... great just the type of response i was looking for when struggling to get your mobile app to work! Other previous experiences include flights rebooked while you are on trip resulting in missing connecting flights, hours on hold waiting for customer support... and so it goes on... avoid Navan if you can!
Simply appalling. I've given up on using it to book travel after several reservations I made at hotels were cancelled when I turned up, and the train fares I can book were not the right type. Now I just use it for submitting receipts and it is genuinely terrible. When the app isn't down and actually allows you to upload a new receipt the AI autofill is nearly always wrong and is time consuming to correct, the system by default assumes it is right and you are wrong which makes is very annoying to deal with. It miscalculates taxes all the time and then you cannot submit the expense until you fix its errors. It does not handle well the fact that your foreign exchange rate might differ from theirs. It muddles stay and travel dates with purchase dates. The list of issues is endless. And the rewards programme is pointless.
My company uses it and it's so buggy and impossibly hard to talk to a human agent. I spend 3 hours per business trip to book the right combination that's within budget. And the surprising thing is it gives me different flight caps when I search on a desktop vs. on mobile. Also not all flights or hotels are available - I see flights available on Google search but not on Navan. Really hate this app. Wish my company goes off this app for business travel booking.
Poor privacy and data management practices. Company charges a high commission but adds no value, uses employees' personal data for marketing and potential sale to data brokers.
Constant bugs and issues with using this platform and not enough done to solve. We have been patient but basic functionality doesnt work - going back to previous company.

I've been using Navan through my employer for a few years. Recently I booked a personal flight that was identified on Navan as being fully cancelable at any time before the takeoff. When plans changed and I tried to cancel, the airline told me cancelation was not possible without forfeiting the cost of the flight.
I contacted Navan and their service reps assured me it would be taken care of. Ultimately, they stood behind their product and provided a full refund. They earned my trust by following through on the promise. Thank you very much to the Navan team for the great service.

Virtually no technical support. I have been having a relatively simple issue for a week now, and Navan is pretty much unresponsive. I reported it, someone wrote back asking for more context. But no solution.

Terrible company and horrible service.
My company uses this service so we must use it for corporate travel. I would hope this would chance soon, my whole travel party had issues and they were unable to help, we all spent hours with the support and ended up having to contact hotels and hosts directly.
Overpriced hotels and flights, impossible to get help from their support team.
In my case they double charged me and no one takes responsibility, hours and hours of my business trip spent with their unhelpful support team and nothing has been sorted. Nothing. Should be illegal to treat customers like this and take no ownership at all.

The company I work for uses this system and I wish they didn't. Although on the surface it seems like a good deal (price-matching, for example), the actual experience is mediocre:
- App is buggy and lacks critical information
- While the initial price of a ticket is matched, the price of upgrades or changes are significantly higher than through the airline
- Human support is decent, but gatekept by a poor AI chatbot
- A lack of transparency about fees and conditions leaves me feeling constantly duped
The sort of mediocre experience that thrives because it's a little easier for the company who requires it, but much worse for the people who actually use it.

Would not allow me to sign-up with my personal email addresses. No explanation, just a rejection note.

I made a hotel booking, and my account got suspended. I can't manage my booking. I can't change or cancel it. I can't contact support without logging in. There's a time sensitive issue and no way to contact Navan. STAY AWAY

WORST EXPERIENCE in booking travel ever.
STAY AWAY
Booked my flight and the next day I get 2 emails.
1st email asking me to upload documents.
2nd email sent 1 minute later suspending my account.
Unable to upload the documents as I couldn't log into my account as it was suspended.
Called to fix this as I'd only received an email confirmation (WITH NO TICKETS).
Told that their technical support recommend I upload my documents (even though I'm locked out of a suspended account).
Anyone picking up on the idiocy here?
Called back twice and ended up having to go on to the airline website to retrieve my booking.
Still NO TICKET.
Do not waste your time, money or energy with this APP or service.
Avoid it at all costs.
Post note: now booked in with a 3rd party to Etihad. Can't reserve my seat on the return flight.
Can't contact these people or the third party flyer (WAMOS).
Never again!!!

I found navan to be an incredibly annoying experience for booking business travel. The site is often slow, shows ambiguous errors (aka. "your booking possibly did complete" -- how helpful is that error?) and certainly does not offer the best prices out there. Customer service has been helpful at times, but I'd rather not require that kind of help in the first place.

Not worth it at all. Switched from travelperk to navan due to poor performance of the former. However, while travelperk was a pain to work with, navan is second to none when it comes to unreliability along with a disastrous user experience. No way of contacting support after my account access was blocked, despite an existing profile and multiple confirmed reservations for upcoming travel and accommodation bookings, for a reason unknown to me. Way to go navan, you really have absolutely nothing to give for.

You can't imagine how bad an app can be until you've used NAVAN — every step of the booking process is prone to errors. It's one of the worst apps out there: it rarely works and offers no real help when you need it. It feels like the entire system relies on manual support — when an error occurs, a consultant may assist you, but it often takes hours and multiple support cases just to complete a simple booking.

Went to book my first hotel, and then bang got suspended without notice.
What a waste of time, no response as of yet from customer service

I booked a hotel in Tilques for 4 people through Navan for August 9–11. When we arrived after a 13-hour drive from Denmark to Calais, the hotel told us the reservation was made for only 2 people. Because they were fully booked for a wedding, they could only offer us a small two-person room for the first night. They added extra beds, but it was cramped and uncomfortable — not what I had booked or expected.
I immediately contacted Navan support. The first agent assured me they would call or email with a resolution, but I never heard back. Hours later, at 11:00 pm, I had to contact support again. The second agent confirmed the hotel had emailed Navan about the issue but never received a reply. The booking error was clearly on Navan’s side.
I explained that the mistake had ruined the first day of our holiday and caused unnecessary stress. I expected at least some form of compensation for the inconvenience and poor service, but nothing was resolved during the chats.
My main concerns:
Navan sent incorrect booking details to the hotel.
Promised follow-up from support never happened.
The issue disrupted our holiday and left us four people squeezed into a small room.
As of today, 27 August, I still have not heard back from Navan.
This was my first experience using Navan, and unfortunately, it has been a frustrating one. Poor communication, slow resolution, and lack of accountability have left me deeply disappointed.

The Navan platform is very intuitive, easy to use and very fast. Whenever there is a question or assistance is required, the Chat option has resolved 98% of all my concerns. That 2% can be resolved by calling the number provided on their "Need Help?" tab.

I’ve had a great experience with Navan! The platform is intuitive and user-friendly, making it really easy to navigate and find what I need. Their focus on helping people and businesses connect is clear, and I appreciate how much thought has gone into the user experience. It’s refreshing to use a service that’s both reliable and efficient. Overall, I’d recommend Navan to anyone looking for a trustworthy tool that genuinely supports users and businesses alike.

Nava support doesn't know how to use NAVAN. Its unbelibe level abysmal level of suport this company has.
I wanted to change the hotel for my trip from the Hilton to the Cosmopolitan.
Any self-respecting SAAS company would have a basic feature like that available, but not NAVAN.
You need a support representative to do it.
I had to talk to 3 diffrent support representatives to get my issues sorted and guide them on how to use NAVAN.
The first representative just did not understand what I wanted, the second one kept asking questions with no solution, the third one got an escalation from me and finally started helping.
What is a simple feature in any other company that is tuned to be a 3-hour debugging process? That, at the end, splits my hotel booking from my flight.
My company policy does not allow splitting the trips into parts. It makes sense for the same trip to have your hotel and flights. Because of NAVNA mistakes, I had a huge problem being reimbursed.
Not only does NAVAN not support a basic feature of changing the hotel, but after 3 hours of support, NAVAN made the wrong change, splitting my trip even though I explicitly told them not to.
I would advise staying away from NAVAN.
