Was a little disappointed by the size and heat of the Jalapeno chillis we purchased recently. The ones that were large enough to use had little or no heat and quit a few were small round fruits about the size of cherry tomato.

Whos' idea was it to fill the box with shredded straw?! It took me some time pulling it out of the vegitables which were not wrapped in anything else. The mushrooms were somewhat tough suggesting they were old along with some of the spring onions that were also hard.

All these little goodies and super foods were well tucked into their travel box and arrived with smiles at my door- no heavy handling experienced Very very Happy travelled veg and fruit

Got my first delivery today —

Fantastic food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fabulous delivery ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My produce arrived thankyou

This whole order seems to have enjoyed its trip from Plymouth -Devon in the south west of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 right up to Kinross Perthshire Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

As an ex WRN I know Plymouth well and have some fond memories of the area
I’d been looking for some Jerusalem artichokes locally and couldn’t find a supplier -
Whilst I was ordering I took the chance to try some other delicacies
Pea shoots and water cress for A goats cheese and yellow pepper fratata
served with a heritage tomato red garlic, onion and courgettes sauce
Some grapes that are so crisp and juicy and some rhubarb for a strawberry ginger and rhubarb trifle

All these little goodies and super foods were well tucked into their travel box and arrived with smiles at my door- no heavy handling experienced
Very very Happy travelled veg and fruit

And very Happy me
I thoroughly enjoyed my boiled Jerusalem artichokes that same evening with a Honey Roasted Smoked loin of Gammon Ham
With some pink fur apple potatoes and a pineapple and onion sweet and sour sauce
The second lot of artichokes are going to be slow roasted around a Roasted Stuffed Chicken served with an onion sauce and hispi cabbage peas and cauliflower

Why you should try to eat Jerusalem artichokes
- you'll be topping up on important minerals.
- They are rich in iron to give you energy, along with potassium and vitamin B1, which support your muscles and nerves.
- Although they're sweet, their starchy fibre stops any spikes in blood sugar levels – indeed they have a lower glycemic index (GI) score than potatoes – and they aren't fattening.

Jerusalem artichokes also include the benefit of improved gut health from inulin. This property is a prebiotic fiber that can help regulate bowels, balance blood sugar, regulate blood pressure, reduce cholesterol, and protect against cancers.

I look forward to putting in another order in soon maybe some Cornish pasties 🥧 and cheese 🫕

First of many

I had my first delivery from Nearly naked veg today, everything was perfect and a lot of care was taken in the packaging. Even during the heatwave that we’re experiencing at the moment there was no spoilt meat or vegetables. I will be ordering on a regular basis.
