One big thing: You will never be able to talk to a person, ever.
- Their email responses are boilerplate, that is, they are pre-written and reused and customized as needed for each response. It appears to be polite, but you will see that every message looks the same.
- If the issue cannot be resolved in one response, you will have to ask again because they do not follow up well. Some issues take months to resolve.
- When the test kit ID has a zero or letter O and you type the wrong one, you may have a long time for them to figure out what happened and fix it.
- When the yfull features terminate and you ask why you are not getting the features you were promised, you may never get a response. I haven't gotten mine after 6 months.
- When the test results are not available in 8 weeks as promised, you will be told that the pandemic is delaying processing. When it has been 16 weeks, you will be told that the pandemic is delaying processing. They will not tell you what is truly happening until the process is complete.
Nebula Genomics is not a trustable company at all!
I ordered my kit in Sep. 22nd, 2021, and I sent the kit back to them in early October.
On December 9th, 2021, I received an email from Nebula Genomics that my sample is entering quality control. Then, I asked about my sample's status via email two times, on January 22nd and February 2nd, and they replied to me (on January 23rd and February 3rd) your sample has passed the quality control successfully and you will receive your results by the end of February 2022. Unbelievably, when I sent them another email on February 17th and asked them about my results, I received their reply stating that the quality of your sample was not good enough to be sequenced! They also claimed that “we informed you about this on January 23rd”, which was not true!!! When I complained to them about this and informed them that I have 2 written confirmations from them (on January 23rd and on February 3rd) that my sample has passed the quality control and will be sequenced soon, they denied it and offered me a money refund after 5 months!
They refunded me the money, but the only thing that I recommend to everyone is to stay away from Nebula Genomics and do not order any kit from them! This company is not trustable at all. I was planning to order other kits for my family as well, but this company taught me the big lesson to never trust them!
Somewhat long wait, but worth it for the results
I am really impressed by the quality of the data and reporting. I should say, however, that between ordering the kit and receiving the final results, it took about 4 months, so a bit longer than advertised. They did say that it was due to covid, so that might be true.
Once I had the results, I downloaded the data and checked the BAM files and the coverage is indeed as advertised. The online platform to get reports is quite nicely designed and offered me over 200 reports on different conditions, so I'm quite happy with the service overall.
Lots of information I never expected

Great informative product
"I received Nebula Genomics as a part of a trial study I am in from my doctor. Upon receiving the package for the collection, I realized how easy it was to provide my sample. All instructions were very easy to follow. Recently I obtained the results and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Everything was explained in a nice neat package and very detailed. The information I received will help me have discussions with my medical providers in the future.
Thank you so much for this wonderful product."

18-week turnaround; intentional obfuscation from CS
Customer support has stonewalled or outright lied to me on three occasions:
—most recently, support told me 4 weeks after I shipped my sample to them that it was “entering QC right now” when I let them know I hadn’t received confirmation that they received my kit. After another 4 weeks (8 total), I got the automated email notifying my my sample had entered QC and would be ready in an additional 10 weeks (18 weeks total). Their website had advertised an 8-week turnaround when I paid $500 for their product and now advertises a 12-week turnaround.
—they offered a 60% sale shortly after I shipped my kit. I imagined they might not be able to price-match after I had made the purchase, but felt I had overpaid if they were offering such a significant discount, so I asked if they could (airlines, for example, do this all the time— If they lower the price of a ticket significantly after you purchase, they’ll reimburse). Nebula told me they could not “as the promotion had ended.” This was a bizarre excuse since the sale was still active and advertised via banners on their website. I pointed this out, saying that I understood they might not be able to price-match but sharing a screenshot that the sale was still active. CS did not respond.
—Finally, when I emailed CS asking for help finding my kit registration number, CS responded by thanking me for my inquiry and asking me if I could “please provide my kit registration number to better assist” me. ….What?!?!?
I can not recommend this company
I bought my pack at sequencing.com but the analysis was done by Nebula Genomics. When I received the results I noticed that the results did not fit with my genetic reality and I compared them with another test done with another company. They did not match.
I asked Nebula Genomics, I got fuzzy answers and no responsibility. So, I wrote to Sequencing.com, they sent me an automated ticket number, but they never contacted me.
In short, I did buy the complete DNA pack and lost my money. I have no idea who the results were sent to me.
Very satisfied with my 30x kit results in UK
I ordered a 30x kit at the beginning of September and returned the kit 2 weeks later from England - all good. However, after a further 15 days the USPS tracker said that the package was out for delivery - and it said that for several days. I contacted Nebula. I was given 3 choices: wait, they will send another kit express delivery or a refund. I opted for another kit. At this time I was reading derisory comments about Nebula and becoming worried. But the kit arrived on 25th October as did an email saying the my original kit was being assessed for quality. Even then USPS was still giving an alert “Awaiting Delivery Scan”.
When I ordered the completion time was 8 weeks, then it was 10 and later their website gave 10 to 12 weeks. However my results were available on 9th December, at only 7 weeks in the labs! I have downloaded the CRAM files (109Gb) and the vcf files. I have checked many SNPs and locations and the results are as expected. There IS well over an average of 30x coverage. For me, what I have read -” if in Europe don’t use this company” is incorrect. I have now had time to carry out some detailed investigations and have found using the Nebula tools a boon and certainly worth the money so I would recommend the Lifetime Reporting option.
My family didn’t know I ordered this kit so they were surprised that at my near 82 years I can carry out research using the Nebula Genomics tools with confidence! For me - excellent!
Nebula Genomics rocks😘
I really Nebula Genomics, it was very easy to use. I got really excited about my results and the information that it provided pertaining to my health and possibly health issues. The videos were very easy to follow and Information was very helpful.
I really love this company
I really love this company, not only do they sequence your whole genome at a competitively cheap rate but also they provide you with all these scientifically backed reports that have a lot of things to say about your health. If I had known them earlier I would have bought kits for my whole family instead of wasting my money on other major companies where they only analyze your genome at less than 1% and potentially missing a lot of informative and private mutations that you have in your genome. If your health is your primary concern and if you are on a low budget i would go for Nebula.
My and your Genome by Nebula...
Nebula Genomics is a valuable company that offers the opportunity to go sequenced of the whole Genome. From receiving the results, I've had this unique faculty to open a world mysterious but at the same time too much fascinating about my biological structure, and thanks at the rich tools available on the website, the research and the study of each report linked to a determined sequence, represents a resource endless for me as for everyone interested to know mostly itself and the own origin.
Fast service
results were there almost instantly for me... interesting, to say the least. Every instance is linked to scientific data and clinical trials. I did not know there were so many trials.
Highly recommended!
Nebula handled the Whole Genome Sequencing I ordered from sequencing.com. Throughout the wait and then the processing of my kit, the communication from Nebula was fantastic. It assuaged my worries and also kept me excited for the day that my results would be completed.
Once they were, I was unsure if I'd be able to navigate such an overwhelming amount of data, but the ready-made, specific trait results on my Nebula account left no work for me to do other than read. They're very good with information as to how one should interpret said results, and have also partnered with gene.iobio for the gene analysis results that are the next step in your genetics education journey.
Speaking of, I loved this tool. No need to load your own data, just navigate from your Nebula account to gene.iobio and your personal sequence loads. It took a bit of learning - but that's what I'm here for!
When I uploaded my raw data to Nebula
When I uploaded my raw data to Nebula, I received a lot more information about my genetic health than what was revealed to me on AncestryDNA, including possible predispositions that I can use in conjunction with my doctor to better improve my health.
Though I do have one recommendation, if you also receive free ancestry results, that would have made it even better.
They do not provide ancestry services
My kit arrived promptly, the sequencing took some time but that was a non issue to me. I had my dna sequenced primarily for ancestry and I chose nebula because they were advertising deep ancestry. The problem is that they do not actually provide this service, you have to upload your data to another provider, yfull and they present you with raw unprocessed data requiring a phd to interpret. This was one expensive mistake on my part
Starting using Nebula after uploading…
Starting using Nebula after uploading my 23andme raw data to their platform, as a way to cross reference. I was so impressed by their insights and user interface, that I decided to go ahead and try their 30x sequencing.
Their test came pretty quickly in the mail, and was pretty easy to administer.
One comment was that the fact that you needed to create a whole new account for a new test was confusing and was not mentioned when I ordered their kit from my existing account. That and that after you mail in your test, there is little details on the progress of getting your test results.
My experience was really eye-opening…
My experience was really eye-opening about my health. I understood that some of my health issues are gene-related, but I also confirmed that a few of them with a high percentage are hereditary, which made me more aware of changing my lifestyle.
I used the raw data from 23andme, but I'm interested in trying whole-genome sequencing to get more accurate details about my genes. Thank you for your great service!
Website is very easy to use and I love…
Website is very easy to use and I love that they provided me with more information about my genetics and more articles explaining what that information means to me than my original DNA test kit provided.
Very pleased with these guys
Very pleased with these guys. I learned some new things and things and some I already knew were correct. Shipping was fast and simple. I was given way more info than I expected to get. It is very detailed and thorough.
