On September 17th, 2025, I submitted a service request on the website Necesit.ro for repairing an air conditioning unit.
I didn’t even have a registered account — I only filled out their public request form — yet I was later contacted by a so-called “technician” named Șerban Cătălin (phone: 0764 690 455), who said he received my details directly from the Necesit.ro platform.
He came to my home on September 20th, 2025, performed what he called a “repair,” and charged me 975 RON (500 RON for freon refill, 250 RON for cleaning, and 275 RON for travel).
Three days later, the air conditioner stopped working again — with exactly the same problem as before.
I tried to contact the technician multiple times; he promised to come back and fix it but never showed up and eventually blocked my phone number.
I then reported the situation to Necesit.ro, and their official reply (signed by Ioana Filip – Informa Corporation SRL) stated the following:
– They have terminated collaboration with Șerban Cătălin;
– They cannot share his personal data because he registered as a private individual, not a company;
– They would “try to contact him” but offered no refund, compensation, or real solution.
In other words, the platform acknowledges that they connected me with an unlicensed individual but refuses to take any responsibility for the damages caused.
I find this completely unacceptable. Necesit.ro acts as an intermediary between consumers and unverified freelancers, apparently without checking whether those people are legally authorized or professionally qualified to perform paid work.

⚠️ Be very careful before using Necesit.ro!
They share your personal details with strangers and do not guarantee that the people contacting you are licensed professionals.
❌ I absolutely do not recommend this platform. It is unsafe, unprofessional, and offers no real consumer protection.
