I recently ordered a Motability vehicle…

I recently ordered a Motability vehicle through Drive Vauxhall Ipswich and wanted to share my experience.

Unfortunately, my dealings with Jonathan in the Motability department were extremely disappointing. Despite speaking to him both face-to-face and over the phone on numerous occasions, my requests were not dealt with in a timely manner. What should have been a straightforward process remained unresolved for five days, despite repeated follow-ups. As a customer, I felt ignored and let down by the level of service I received.

In complete contrast, I was later assisted by Jose Hidalgo. Within approximately ten minutes, Jose managed to resolve the issues that had remained outstanding for days. He was professional, courteous, efficient, and, most importantly, followed through on everything he said he would do. He treated me with respect and kept me informed throughout the process.

Based on my experience, I would highly recommend asking for Jose Hidalgo if you are ordering a Motability vehicle through Drive Vauxhall Ipswich. He is a credit to the dealership and demonstrates the level of customer service that customers should expect.

While I am very grateful for Jose's help, I remain disappointed by the poor service I initially received and hope management reviews how Motability customers are supported in the future.

I had a Vauxhall Service Payment Plan…

I had a Vauxhall Service Payment Plan for a number of years and was a regular customer of the Vauxhall Dealership having all my Servicing MOT's and repairs done there. In 2023 I suffered an illness and was in hospital for four months and then had a carer at home for a further three months and am still not driving to this day. As it had not been used for two and a half years I decided to sell my car and reclaim the unused money that had accumulated in my service plan. Despite having had my money for all that time and the reason for me needing to claim my money back was my ongoing ill health Vauxhall insisted on implementing their £30 administration charge and I was told it was at the discretion of the local service manager. The whole process is automated withe no facility to speak to an actual person and conducted by an automated phone service and email. I had no communication from Vauxhall about my request for the administration charge being waived ir acknowledgement of my health circumstances and money just appeared in my bank one day with no breakdown supplied of how it was calculated. This is a poor company with who look to extract money from you at every opportunity and I won't be using them again in any capacity and I certainly wouldn't recommend anybody using them.

Shocking service

8 weeks, 5 repair failures at Vauxhall approved dealer. My 2021 Mokka-e still has the same charging fault they 'fixed' in January. Customer care completely ignoring problem. Case 03435426.
Was given the car back in a seriously unsafe condition, as well as completely missing a failing part on the car during a full service so that it failed MOT 4 weeks later. When will someone take this seriously?

So far, both the dealership (Wilson & Co Scunthorpe) and central customer care have been completely dismissive and not taking accountability for the issues.

Usually when dealers persist in ringing…

Usually when dealers persist in ringing you 2 and a half years into a 4 year deal to upgrade your car it makes you think they have something to offer you in terms of a deal of some sort.

Advanced Vauxhall in Watford have zero , nothing to offer at all , don't bother always hated Vauxhall's but somehow ended up with one thought I'd give them a chance.

You sell bang average family cars that do everything it says on the tin , nothing more you need to be a bit more humble you are Vauxhall not Audi , BMW or Mercedes.

Far too expensive good luck selling Corsa's for 24k

Avoid Luton branch

Took my car into the Luton branch for mot which it passed. Whilst en route to collect car I was called to say there was an issue that needed a third party repair. This then happened a second time and cost me £1,000. Fast forward 12 weeks and I had an nasty accident in thr car and was advised by the rac that it was deadly and should not have passed the mot - zero help when complained to Vauxhall

So far reading the small short but informative issues with contacting Vauxhall Uk , the only thing I’m impressed with, is the fact they actually spoke with anybody. So far my experience of owning a new Vauxhall is horrendous. Good luck to anybody wishing to expect a person to reply and or even get a reply to an email look out AI. No thanks.
Good luck and thank you very much Vauxhall, no really thank you.

Sell Vauxhall and buy a car!

Sell Vauxhall and buy a car!
Hi Vauxhall lover,
”Beware and read my message before buying a Vauxhall car”
My car is Grandland Turbo D, 2018. I was driving on the motorway and without any reason the all lights came out on the screen and I took my car to a Vauxhall dealer in Chester and after the day the manager called me to collect the car and refused to repair, then i took my car to Liverpool Vauxhall and they asked £13800 to repair it, I think they didn’t want to repair but they wanted me to collect the car from them, then I took my car to 8 more mechanics including auto electricians and no one found the fault. All mechanics tell me that the “fault is the system or brain, it needs to go to factory to check” so it’s been at home since November 2023.

Vauxhall Extended Warranty

We have a Vauxhall Mokka car 2016 purchased in 2017 used. We took out a Vauxhall Extended warranty on the car when purchased. The car broke down a few weeks ago so started the extended warranty procedure but to no avail. Gear had a problem so had to be stripped down u fortunately for us this only needed to be adjusted and no parts used. The warranty was invalid and forked out £612 for it to be adjusted. Warranty did not cover this so was left with the bill. We had paid over £3000 in instalments over the years so thought this was disgusting on our part as they had received all that money from us over the years. The moral of this story is do not take out an Extended Warranty for yr vehicle as they try to get out of paying re the warranty so it’s a disgusting set up. BE VERY CAREFUL do not purchase they will get out of it all the time.

I was invited to take a test drive by Vauxhall for which I was to receive a free gift. After taking the test drive I was given a postcard with online details to access my free gift. After numerous attempts to access online I took the postcard back to the local dealer who also could not activate the codes but told me to contact Vauxhall which I did. Up to this point in time I have spoken to 5 yes 5 different people all assuring me that they will try to resolve the problem. It is now into the 7th week and I’m no nearer a solution. I may also say that they got a sale from me - but I think it may be their last ! ! !
