The product we use from them is good (they purchased the company), but the Billing and Invoicing dept is a complete mess. They cannot bill correctly, do not apply payments correctly, and they are not responsive about correcting the issues.

Would never want to associate my 501(c)3 with this platform!

So I am just getting started with my 501 (c)3 and I'm trying to figure out where I am going to put all my money and attention to try and grow and be the most effective nonprofit that I can possibly be. And in the 2 minutes that I spoke to the person new calls, to even set up an appointment with somebody else. I\n Was not in breath whatsoever. They couldn't answer any of my questions because their hands were tied. Because I have not gotten my registration for my tax-exempt status yet. And I was trying to express to them that I want to figure this out, as I am literally in the process of doing that, and they were not interested in talking to me whatsoever. So this is definitely not going to be A service that I will be using whatsoever and I don't think I would ever recommend them to anybody as they just really turned me off with the way that they treated me and couldn't even answer a simple question. So, yeah, I do not recommend this and I won't be using their service anywhere. As they have, like 2 stars, I can't imagine anybody else is going to be using them much longer either. So I am glad that I did not jump in and agree to anything or pay them any money, because obviously I would be very unhappy with this platforming and they don't seem like they are really the kind of people that I want to associate with my nonprofit because they just really seem like they are not. About what nonprofits are supposed to be about, but they're definitely about the money.. There were , I am not even interested in a demo call with these people.

NFG's EFT set up attempts -- infuriating nonresponsive AI emails and phone line that no one answers

This regards experience from October 2024 until April 2025. Network for Good is infuriating to deal with when trying to establish EFT for a nonprofit. Apparently their Plaid platform does not support Fidelity Investments. And their "manual upload" did not work when we tried it back in October. What followed was a series of non-responsive e-mail messages from NFG that read as if generated by AI. Over and over they as us for the EIN. Over and over they tell us the case seems to have been resolved and they are closing it. No one will call you. And no one answers the toll free number. We have other clients who use Fidelity and NFG who got on the NFG platform before it was outsourced to the useless Plaid.

Extremely Disappointed with Bonterra/Network for Good's Service and Support

Our experience with Bonterra/ Network for Good (NFG) has been incredibly frustrating and damaging to our organization. Over the past several months, we encountered a series of major issues that have significantly impacted our ability to operate effectively, and despite our best efforts to resolve them, Bonterra/ NFG has fallen far short of our expectations in both service and support.
First and foremost, we lost years’ worth of vital donation records, including hundreds of thousands of dollars in donation history from one of our largest donors. This catastrophic loss occurred because one of NFG's team members misunderstood a request to remove duplicate records and ended up deleting nearly all of our data instead. This error, which could have been prevented with better training or communication, has been devastating for our organization.
Adding insult to injury, the accountability from NFG has been virtually nonexistent. Despite reaching out multiple times as early as June to resolve this issue, we received little to no communication from their team until months after our initial outreach—and only after our account renewal had already processed. The lack of timely response left us in a precarious situation as we tried to piece together what happened and sought answers about how to recover from this.
When we finally did hear back, it was too late. Bonterra/ NFG was unwilling to offer flexibility on our contract terms, and even though we were actively working to transition to another platform, they cut us off from their system with little warning. This forced us to scramble to retrieve our remaining data under a tight deadline, making an already stressful situation even worse.
For an organization that relies on accurate donor records and strong data management, the failure of Bonteera/ Network for Good has had lasting consequences. They did not take responsibility for their errors, provided no meaningful solutions, and ultimately left us feeling abandoned during a crucial time.
I would strongly caution any nonprofit considering Bonteera/ NFG to carefully evaluate other platforms before making a decision. Our experience has been a cautionary tale of lost trust, poor communication, and inadequate customer support.

We have utilized Network for Good since 2019

We have utilized Network for Good since 2019 and had a relatively good experience with them, however in the past year they lost their relationship with their credit card processor and our charity did not want to use the one that they suggested. This action makes their platform useless in raising funds. We also usually receive a renewal request and give them an acknowledgement that we intend to continue. This year that did not happen, and we sought out to work with another fundraising platform provider. They have since denied us the ability to cancel our subscription, stating that we have a fine window for cancellation even though we have been a good faith customer of theirs for 5 years and they changed the rules of their agreement with us. We are very disappointed in their services as a result of this action.

Where is the money?

Facebook chose Network For Good to administer my FB campaign to donate to my charity. After a month not receiving the $50 that was raised, I contacted FB. They told me to be patient. Four months later, I still hadn't received it. Then, FB told me to contact NfG directly. I did so and they said that they gave the money to someone else but wouldn't tell me the name of that entity. Ten months later, I received an e-mail that they would send my charity the money if I linked the charity's bank account to NfG's. Against my best judgment, I did so. It was another 4 days of work over 2 months to get configured. It's now a year that they have had the charity's money and they aren't answering my e-mail any more.

Dishonest & Deceitful

They will re-up your subscription for a full year without warning and refuse to give you a refund (based on their agreement policies). While this is legal, it is extremely bad business practice and will leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Oversold By The Sales Team

I was lucky enough to receive a Jump Start scholarship to learn how to get the best from Network for Good at my last non-profit. It transformed our donor management, as we were still using spreadsheet donor lists, so I recommended it to a similar sized organization when I joined their board. We had a couple of hiccups early on getting the right package, but the excellent customer service team were on it and sorted it our for us. So now we are sailing along, building up our donor lists, sending out professional communications and using their great tools to up our fundraising game.

Migrating our donor/customer management over to Network for Good as been a huge help. Integrating our email blast information with donor information and the ease of importing information from other platforms has helped me better understand our users and donor.
