Our daughter was tutored by Emily Hardy at Newell in Altrincham. Emily is a lovely person, great personality, fun, approachable and really good at what she does - helping kids get through the stress of the 11+. My daughter really made a close bond with Emily and actually looked forward to Emily's lessons, which was a huge help in encouraging my daughter to put the necessary time and effort in to her studies. My daughter passed her 11+ and this was undoubtedly thanks to Emily. 5 star tutor.

The best decision I took to send both my kids to Newell Tuition. Both my children passed their 11plus and got an offer too. Emma went above and beyond to help my son who at that time was struggling with his comprehension skills but he mastered them and immensely improved his NVR skills. Can't recommend enough!!

We were new to the area and many people mentioned newell hence our decision to go with them.
The summer school seemed like a value for money option, however there's very little by way of comms to say what's happening day to day and session to session.
A generic and basic report is issued at the end of each week.

I would suggest spending additional time with 1 to 1 tuition would be less draining and more focused and precise targeting of strengths and weaknesses.
That does require you to have a good tutor, we had two the first was very laissez faire and left part way through the year. It's unfortunate that there isn't more of a selection/matching process. The second we had was absolutely fantastic and really helped our son develop his confidence and ability.

Mock exams are ok. But they always let the children out late. One time 45mins late.

The teacher is remarkably punctual when it comes to sending emails to collect payment. However, they seem to have a never-ending list of excuses for taking days off. It's quite impressive how they manage to find a new reason each time to skip the very same day of the tutoring session. And let's not forget their impeccable scheduling skills—offering make-up classes only during school hours when the children are already occupied, with no other time slots available. How convenient! I believe that other teachers are relatively more professional and dedicated in comparison.

We can't recommend the Newell class enough! The teacher is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated to helping my son’s succeed. The curriculum is well-structured, providing comprehensive coverage of all subjects tested in the 11+ exams. My child's confidence and skills have grown tremendously since starting the program, and we've seen tangible improvements in their results. The one to one setup personalised attention, and the regular feedback sessions keep parents informed about their child's progress. If you're looking for top-notch preparation for the 11+ exams, this tuition class is definitely the way to go!

The tutor (John) is great at explaining complex concepts in simple ways. He has also established a good connection with my son.

The program seems to be working really well for our daughter she’s enjoying the lessons and has the right amount of work to complete at home. Robyn is fantastic always so friendly and helpful our daughter really looks forward to her lesson each week.

Excellent service, rapid results!
Only thing i will say is that the website could be easier to navigate and taking apple pay would make life easier too.
