I’m really sorry to hear this wasn’t a smooth experience for you. These tests are designed to be as simple as possible to use at home, but I completely understand how frustrating it must have been if you struggled to get enough blood or felt the components weren’t working as expected.
The lancet is intended to make a small, controlled finger prick, and sometimes blood flow can be a bit slow depending on things like circulation or temperature. Warming your hands beforehand and letting your arm hang down can often help improve the flow.
The pipette is designed to fill by capillary action rather than suction, gently drawing the blood in on contact rather than needing to be squeezed.
What matters most to me is that you feel supported and confident using the kit. If yours didn’t work as expected or anything felt unclear, I’d really like to look into this properly for you and make it right for you.

Missing capillary tube
I've updated this review to 5 stars. I had originally thought the pack was missing an essential item but have only recently discovered that it had fallen out of the pack on opening and disappeared under a bed. Newfoundland's customer care and follow-up has been exemplary. I will be purchasing a another pack.

The cholesterol kit you purchased does include a sterile capillary tube, which is typically supplied in the sealed foil pouch within the pack. It’s worth double-checking all components inside the pouch, as smaller sterile items can sometimes be missed on first inspection.
That said, we want every customer to have a complete, fully usable kit, and we take these situations seriously. If anything is missing or unclear with what you’ve received, we’ll get it resolved straight away.

Follow the instructions, quite easy to use
I wanted a second opinion on my HbA1c score from the NHS, as there is some controversy over the accuracy of particular analysers. There's quite a lot to take in with the instructions for this blood test , so I recommend you read the whole thing before starting, particularly regarding sending the sample on the right days of the week to avoid delays in the post, avoid sending on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. It was certainly different to my normal quick single drop pinprick diabetes test! Thanks for providing the right 'tools' , and enough wipes and lancets to make the blood sample easy to take and package. I'll update this when I get the result.
Update: I got the result within two days of sending the pack, the result was within the range of previous tests, so I have some confidence in this. I'd certainly be prepared to use this type of testing again.

I initially gave them a bad review thinking I had been scammed, however since speaking with the team on a few issues I was having with registering my test and my sample my mind has been put at ease.

Great products from a great company
Happy with the service provided by this company, the iron deficiency test was super easy to use and instructions make reading the results very simple. Great way to get a better idea of your health before having to wait in the long nhs queues, now I can be more direct with my doctor. Will definitely use Newfoundland again!

I want to appreciate the company for how they portrayed professionalism in the way they handled my case. I had placed an order which delayed in delivery. The parcel was delivered really…
The parcel was delivered really quickly, but I purchased three of the same tests, and all of them expire on 19/11/2025. It feels like a waste of money - I bought more "just in case", but they will probably end up in the bin.
Also, I’m not sure if the test actually works, because a laboratory test confirmed an infection, while this one showed nothing... Overall, it feels like a waste of money and a real disappointment.

Really handy tests and super quick…
Really handy tests and super quick results. I did have a small issue with the lancet at first, but once I got the twist-and-release motion it was fine (plus there’s a spare if needed)

Bought a test
Bought a test, got clear instructions but the mechanism that pushes the pin into my finger didnt work. Quality is subpar, plastic used making this test feels super cheap.
Haven't been able to use the self test, money wasted.
