Company delayed my order so I attempted to cancel and exchange. They told my I couldn’t because it was in transit. They didn’t have a tracking number to show this. Now they want me to pay to ship it back that diminishes the credit by a substantial amount. I’m better off throwing their product in the trash. DONT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!

I live in Minnesota, which we traditionally used Minnkota motors for trolling motors. However, recently, these motors have caused me a lot of problems with reliability. In addition, they are expensive. I decided to try a NewPort trolling motor this time. I received it a few days ago and tried it out the fit on my 14 foot boat was sturdy. There was no issues hooking it up and the 62 pound thrust motor was amazing. The only issue I had was the fuse that was included ended up shorting out across the lake and I didn’t realize that’s what the problem was since the fuses open it’s easy to bump it against something and caused the short to happen, it really should be in some kind of a plastic box. Other than that these motors appear to be very good I did call customer support, putting it together to ask some basic question about storage and waterproofing. They answered my questions immediately and were fantastic on the phone and the price was about half the price of Minnkota motors , after a couple of days, I have absolutely no complaints on these guys. I would definitely buy these again so far I am impressed with this company.

I give Newport Vessels 5 stars even though there was a problem with my order, because they corrected it and shipped the missing item immediately. We will buy from them again- my husband recently called them with questions on a trolling motor, and was able to speak with someone right away. Great customer service.
