Had my wife's car booked in for a wet…

Had my wife's car booked in for a wet belt change. Day before it was due to go in, as I was passing i thought I will get my car booked in as well to have my wet belt changed. I was told by one of the staff they dont do wet belt changes. So apologies or sympathy. Already booking annual leave to drop my car off which turned out a waste. Maybe a little more knowledge and more focus on how to speak to customers would go a long way. In the end I took both cars to Courtney's Garage in Henley. Brilliant job.

Excellent service

I recently had a fault on my cars suspension which they not only fixed but at a very reasonable cost.
I have been using them for over 25 years and have always found them to be both courteous and helpful.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. I always use them for my MOT and trust both their judgement and workmanship.

Very Disappointing Service Experience

I recently took both my car and my daughter’s car to this garage for MOTs as a first-time customer. Unfortunately, our experience was let down by the service advisor, James, whose attitude was condescending and dismissive - not just toward us but also toward other customers present at the time. When I raised this concern, there was little interest in addressing it.

To add to the disappointment, they charged £120 to supply and fit two sidelight bulbs, claiming to have replaced them but stating that it hadn’t resolved the fault. I later bought the same bulbs myself from Euro Car Parts for a total cost of £9.18, fitted them with ease, and the issue was immediately resolved - raising questions about the quality of their work and transparency in their service.

The garage owner was professional and apologetic when I followed up, but no meaningful action was taken. It’s a shame because first impressions matter, and good customer service is just as important as the work being done.

I won’t be returning and would advise others to be mindful of this when choosing where to take their vehicle, as respect, transparency, and professionalism should be a given when dealing with paying customers.
