Water Softener

We bought a water softener from a representative of this company from a show. He told lies about the product and that we could easily have a refund. The company refused a refund saying that they didn’t refund on goods bought from a show. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very dismissive and rude.

I recently bought my shower at an exhibition. I was leased with the communication, they got me booked straight in for delivery. They also furnished me with extra information when it was being fitted looks absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended 👌

This company are dreadful 'Service' money ...down the drain

This company are dreadful - they ask for nearly £300 for a service. Not quite sure what they actually 'service' their pockets I guess.
The manager person came, and then told me that the water was not going through the plug well, (which I knew already and was the bane of my shower time), and that I needed a plumber to change the pipe taking the water out of the shower plug.

Then I asked about the light not working, and he said I needed to get an electrician to add the electric wiring to my house main wiring. NOW this is a stand alone steam shower unit when I brought it - so now why does it suddenly need to be wired into the house main wiring?
I paid for an electrician to come and look, and was told that it was the motherboard/plate on the shower unit that was faulty.
When I challenged this, I was told that it could not be this as the fault, and if I still wanted to change this, it would cost me a lot of money, and still wouldn't work!
So now, I have a shower where the water does not empty out of the base for at least 10 minutes, and if you stay in the shower too long, you will overflow the water all over your floor, and having to shower in the dark as the light does not work, This is a small company and as such should care a bit more for their customers... but they dont.
BUYERS - Do not buy a unit from them at the Ideal Home Show as it usually does not come with all the bits needed to make the shower or unit work - it is sold as seen, and you have no redress from them to make it work! Really disappointed in the way my shower unit has been mismanaged - 'service money' literally down the drain. I'll never 'service' my unit with them again.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Rude Manager. Would never recommend. Steer clear of them at the Ideal Home Show when it resumes- Very poor After sales. We had a fault with a new bath enclosure bought from them, noticed after just a week of installation there was a bit of water on the floor, when we reported this, the Manager as good as told us that we must have caused the issue ourselves. Unbelievable!!! It turned that there was a leaky pipe at the back of the unit, which caused water damage to our kitchen ceiling below. They eventually came out and found the fault, It was a leak in a pipe, we saw it for ourselves and I recorded it. It was changed by one of their Engineers/Plumber. We had no apology from the Company, even when we called to advise of damage and sent the video. So had to deal with the damage ourselves. The manager was not interested!
Another thing, don’t buy their display items at any shows, They will not allow you to change your mind regardless of the reason. We all have consumer rights NewWorld.
Lots of nice companies out there people, but this isn’t one of them. The really nice ones have left now. Again steer clear!!!

FINALLY have lights fixed after 10.5 weeks of waiting

UPDATE: 24/02/2021 - changed from 1 star to 3

Replacement bulbs and LED drivers arrived 24/02/2021 (sent 22/02/2021)

Glad we now have lights in our unit, but disappointed it took 10.5 weeks to sort. No note included in the box, just lights and drivers. Correspondence doesn't appear to be their thing.

Original review 22/02/2021 - 1 star:
Lights blew after a week - still waiting 10 weeks later for it to be fixed

07/12/2020:- Had a bath/shower pod installed.

The fitter said that there was a known fault of the lights blowing and a 'driver' needed to be fitted to stop this from happening. He didn't bring one with him, but said he would send one. It never arrived.

14/12/2020:- lights blew.

15/12/2021:- I rang NWB office and spoke to John (MD), who said: "the person who sends out stuff wasn't here until 21/12/2020, so would leave message for them".

29/01/2021:- no replacement bulbs or driver received, so rang office - no answer. Filled in online form - no reply. Sent emails - no reply.

09/02/2021:- My husband rang NWB office and spoke to John (MD), he said he'd seen my emails but "the person who sends stuff out isn't here until next week".

15/02/2021:- I rang NWB office and left message to remind them to send replacement bulbs and driver.

22/02/2021:- I still haven't received the replacement bulbs or the driver to stop them from blowing in future.

The quality isn't great. The top of the unit is very flimsy and doesn't fit together properly, so there is a gap on the top RHS where the steam from the steam shower escapes - see photos.

It seams that the unit isn't square, so will never fit together perfectly.

Great New World Bathroom Cabinet

Bought my first shower cabinet from New World Bathrooms in 2014. Worked perfectly from day one and had no problems since. Have always found the owner and staff very friendly and helpful. Fast forward to June 2020 I decided to upgrade my unit to the latest design. Once again I received friendly and courteous attention from the owner and staff. My old unit was dismantled and taken away and the new one assembled and fitted with efficiency and as little mess and disruption as necessary. Apart from a light bulb problem which was replaced immediately I have a very smart and working shower unit. Thanks Guys

New World Bathrooms (Redditch)

Purchased a very expensive bathroom /shower/sauna/steam unit from the Grand Design Live back in May for delivery Oct/Nov. Agreed price paid in full with £350 installation to be paid. My Plumber suggested use them for Installation though expensive, as they will probable use get out clauses, should things go wrong, and blame others.
In August I was asked if I could take delivery early as NWB were moving location. Not really appropriate, but I did find somewhere with the proviso of a second year guarantee and a decrease in the installation costs as enticement offered.
Unit fitted on in Nov 12. I supplied some of the fitting to assist in Installation to save time. My thanks , a Invoice of £550. A woman on her own has little choice but to pay.
However the fitter did state there would be no problem getting the overpayment refunded.
He left a quick explanation of the controls, but did not level the bath(blamed the floor) and left the floor wet. The next day the floor was still wet, two outlet unions not tightened. Company informed soonest, and their fast efficient no quibble services went into immediate action. Now three weeks, still no response and no confirmation of my refund or guarantee. After much testing I have found that the upper shower controls work, but no pump sounds or water delivery from any avenue in the bath section. With Christmas coming I have little doubt, anything will be achieved, but I have requested assistance. My £3000 outlay is but a cabin of plastic and metal, I lie, I can have a shower. Remember folks this is from the Grand Design Live, but I believe the Ideal Home Ex is due March 19, check the contract fully and cross out the details on the back that do not apply, before you buy. I have even asked just for a user manual, but no answer.
Though the Unit is beautiful as a centre piece, it is not usable, so they are welcome to remove it, but alas, a refund... It's Christmas, I can but hope
Update: 6 weeks and no refund and leaks still not been seen by company. A very expense plastic/metal box.
Update: 9 weeks. Director not happy with review, threatening action. Am I not allowed an opinion?. Extra £200 paid to collect Unit from daughter's home (300 metres) and a 22 to15mm union. This was meant to be FREE for taking the Unit early. A man's word is not his bond according to the Director. Unit still not working. Will now not permit repair until advised. Please take it away!
