The Nextbase OBD Power Cable offers a simple plug & play solution with a 5-metre cable to give you the ability to install the power cable in your vehicle to meet your needs. By using your vehicles OBD port the Dash Cam will be connected to a permanent power supply ensuring the camera is not only recording while you’re driving but also can access the power in the event of a collision when your vehicle is parked. The OBD port eliminates the need to use the 12V outlet (car cigarette socket). My ex30 doesn't have a cigarette socket (usb c only) so opted for OBD2 power. The installation is simple and powers the dashcam however. 1. The dashcam power is always live 12v. 2. Tried G force to trigger start and worked but not always. Some Footage not recorded. I have to power up and turn off dashcam each trip not great. Issues with dashcam well known so nextgear better act fast before brand is destroyed. Kit does simplify power from car but not the perfect solution unless software issues resolved

Unable to this product with the 322GW and rear view camera. The screen on the 322 freezes and requires the power disconnecting and rebooting whenever I drive my vehicle. I have reverted back to powering the 322 and rear view camera from the 12v power socket which means I cannot use the parking application. Very disappointed and frustrated.

Really good and the answer to not having a 12 volt socket at the front of the vehicle. The only improvement I could suggest (for an old guy like me) would be for an On/Off switch on the "live side" of the power unit to obviate the need to unplug and reconnect the plug ( when necessary ) to the OBD socket which is not in a very convenient position on most vehicles.

Plug and play kit (made even easier with an OBD2 splitter cable in some instances, but this unfortunately isn't included or it would have been scores of 5 for both categories). Very easy to use and works very well. So much so that I bought a second to hardwire my wife's car too!
