Excel Charter Academy is the best!

The teachers & all the staff are always so welcoming and personable! The teachers wait outside in the morning to greet each student as parents drop them off. The kids are always greeted with high fives & smiles. Seeing this every morning makes me happy :)

Kindergarten-8th Grade Schools Aren't Always a Good Idea

I have learned after 4 years that I don't much care for schools that include kids kindergarten-8th grades. They tend to lump them all together very often, but speak to everyone as if everyone is in 1st grade.

I think as kids grow into teenagers, they need to feel 'individualized' more and have opportunities to be themselves and not feel like 'little kids', which I feel a K-8 school makes them feel like.

I don't believe NHA teachers are any better than those of public schools, however I do believe that experiences for the kids are better because parents tend to be more involved/concerned, having enrolled their child(ren) there instead of public schools, where trouble tends to happen more often due to troubled home lives.

Need improvements

Plymouth scholars is an okay school with average to declining academic standards, limited opportunities for extracurricular programs and horrible -almost inhumane serpentine pick up and drop off conditions in Michigan winter. Teaching excellence varies from a teacher to a teacher.

Good job

This school does a good job keeping the kids well behaved and kind. There is a huge focus on college and their futures. We find the alternative (public schools) not even an option in this neighborhood.

The BEST School for My Child

Landmark Academy @ Reunion goes above and beyond to create individualized learning programs for their students. Teachers meet with small groups daily to address each student's needs, whether he/she is below, on grade-level, or above. They create fun, challenging activities that motivate students to reach their full potential. In addition, their moral focus program reinforces the values I teach my child to grow into a kind, compassionate, productive member of society. My child loves to go to school and I am thankful for all that Landmark Academy does to ensure his success in school and in life.

Landmark is a wonderful school! The teachers and staff are friendly and create a welcoming environment for kids to learn.

We've been a part of the school since it opened. I feel my children have gotten a great education from caring teachers that not only have a on for what they teach, but a heart for their students. There are multiple ways they challenge my children to help them grow. The moral focus virtues are seen everywhere and it helps create a caring environment for the kids. I would highly recommend this school!

Excellent Teachers and Staff!!!

We are new to Landmark, my daughter just started kindergarten this year. I cant rave enough about the moral focus assemblies!! and how these morals are used throughout the school, to remind the students how important they are in everyday life.
