Caught out this agent lying to me.
My long standing landlord has asked this agent to take over the letting process.
They have called me immediately to request a rise in rent, I asked if they would ask the landlord to consider a counter offer of rise in rent.
After a few hours they called me to say the landlord had refused a counter offer and the rate would apply from next month.
Luckily for me I have the landlords number and called to say that an increase of rent without any notice was alittle unfair.
Turns out that the agent had not had any contact with the landlord or discussed the matter of a counter offer.
As well as this they hadn't informed the landlord they would be in touch with me.
My landlord was very upset as we have a very good relationship. And could not believe they where bullying me into paying an increase of rent without any notice period.
All they seem to be interested in is scaring the landlord into agreeing to use their services and lying.
Not a very good service.
There only interested in making their commission and the hall to everyone else involved.
