Good prices and reliable

I purchased the Genki Vol. 1 books (textbook and workbook) and they arrived in perfect condition. The purchase was made on the website on November 17th. They were shipped on November 20th. I received the books in Brazil on December 2nd, meaning it took 15 days for them to arrive. They were very well packaged.

the only supplier of textbooks

the only supplier of Japanese textbooks. Without him, I would probably have to personally travel to a capital city and look for extreme prices to see if anyone sells them somewhere.

Purchasing error

I tried to purchase three books, but every time I try to pay, the website says there is an error. I even called my bank to ask if I was doing wrong, but they checked and everything was fine. So I cannot understand why there is an error.

Great stuff

Ordered a set of Minna no Nihon books. They were packed well and arrived in perfect condition.

My package took 2.5 weeks to arrive (18 days) which includes 5 days between the order and it being shipped where there was no tracking information.

TL;DR: The books and prices are great, but it might take longer than the maximum time advertised to ship.

The site is horrible, and the customer support doesn't help. 

The site they have is just a complete mess. It keeps rate limiting when I try to buy cards, resulting in me having a hard time selecting the TCG cards I wanted to buy. It also cleared out my basket multiples times after I was unable to continue my purchase.

Then I was finally able to select all the TCG I wanted and ready to do my payment, I had an other nasty surprise waiting for me. Despite the websites FAQ saying you can pay with Paypal and Ideal, when I was checking out neither option was available. Only Bancontact, ESP, przelewy24 and Creditcard..

And I could forgive most of these things if the customer service was not terrible. I left a message on their own website, Facebook and Instagram all of them were ignored, leaving all my issues unresolved.

Nothing wrong!

Nothing went wrong, the only thing that was unfortunate is that my package took about three weeks to arrive, but i guess that's normal when shipping something from japan to europe... I got the tracking number for my package so I could always check that it's on the way. Like this, I didn't mind waiting a bit longer.

Happy customer

I ordered 3 books, they are all good quality books. It took a while, about three weeks for them to reach me in rural Australia, but it was worth it because it was much cheaper than ordering from the language bookshop in Sydney. Thanks Nipponrama.

It seems there was an oversight on our fulfillment team end, and you only received part of your order. We completely understand your frustration, especially since you opted for express shipping.

Regarding the customs fees, we clearly state in our FAQ (which is linked on all pages of our website) that shipments from Japan to Europe may incur such charges. Unfortunately, these are determined by your local customs authorities, and we cannot predict or cover them due to the variation of laws in over 150 countries we ship to.

As for the slight shipping delay, we would like to note that delays of a day or two are not uncommon when shipping internationally, especially during the typhoon season we are currently experiencing in Japan. Despite these challenges, we do our best to ensure timely delivery by sending packages to Japan Post even in adverse weather conditions.

Will buy from this shop again!

I can highly recommend this shop. I order Genki pack of 3 books (Genki 1 textbook, Genki 1 workbook, Genki answer key) and the books came in excellent condition. The website is very intuitive and user-friendly. I had no problems with the payment process and shipping, which was super fast by the way, if I recall correctly my package was shipped in like 4 days! I will definitely buy from this shop again!

I was really suspicious about ordering…

I was really suspicious about ordering from this website. My delivery took longer than it was said but eventually it came. I was contacting with the seller and they helped me figure out the delivery thing because I must admit I freaked out a little. The books are in perfect condition. Overally it's good 👍🏻
