Nirvana Weighted Blanket Reviews 

Overall, I can not recommend this blanket. The main issues being unsatisfactory customer service and a problematic return policy.

I purchased the Nirvana Bamboo. I thought it slept to cool so I asked to return that blanket, and bought an original. Still, it was not for me. Nothing wrong with the blankets - just that weighted blankets were not right for me personally.

Returning the blanket was a nightmare. First the company had issues getting me a return label. Then after receiving the blankets, a month to issue the refund (though I have yet to receive it, I believe it has been processed). Apparently it can take up to 35 *business* days to process returns. I later learned this was because they just have blankets sitting there, waiting to be inspected.

I tried to contact them many times - but the customer service is atrocious. There is no phone line - actually a common trend for similar companies (and also confusing because they allow texting and so have a phone number listed, and the voice mail doesn't explain there is no phone support). Emails are answered late. I was told it can take up to 2 days to respond to an email, and even had one which took longer.

The responses are typically rude and obtuse. There was little attempt to resolve issues or help, and it was painful trying to get explanations from them on the delayed timeline. Don't take my word for it - look at the responses to online reviews.

In the end I did not get a full refund - nobody does! They don't return shipping, handling, taxes (though I think they indicate this comes back automatically), or for the added warranty "nirvana care." While this is indicated on the website, it is hidden away in a long explanation of policy - and was a shock to me.

In general, my experience seems to be very typical. Look at the negative reviews here, or on facebook. It is striking the similarities - 1)delayed refunds 2) poor customer service 3) not getting full refunds.

I will say that I reached to out to the CEO Jerome Rossman. He seems to be a nice guy and a good listener. You can tell he has a strong customer service skill set and he believes in his product. I am hopeful that the company will address these problems, and as a result that future customers will have a better experience. Nirvana is a small company with a product that many might enjoy. I can't recommend them under the current customer service management or with the current refund policies - but otherwise, I certainly would.

My nirvana blanket is one of my favourite purchases I’ve made in ages! Bought another for my elderly mother who has trouble sleeping and she said it’s really helped. Highly recommended.

Really nice product. Only issue is that the beads bunch to one said or the other.

Overall happy with my cooling weighted blanket. I believe I am falling asleep easier and do find waking up in the morning easier. I am a very hot sleeper which is why I wanted a blanket that was considered cooling In the warm weather this blanket does seem to stay nice and cool now that we have our AC running, which is great! But I did find I was getting hot before we got the AC going, Im sure that can't be helped

I LOVE this blanket!!! I ordered in the bamboo - temperature is nicely regulated. My only critiques would be to offer in more colours and perhaps have an additional cover that is easier to take off and wash. This product delivered on its claims. I truly have not slept this well in ages.... Highly recommend. Love it so much, I will probably buy for my entire family. To all who buy this - give it a couple of days before you decide its not for you..... as each day goes by - I honestly love it more!

Noticed that they removed their Google reviews bc the truth about them was being revealed!? WHY no Google reviews, Nirvana Blanket? It's because they got down to 2 stars at one point and just paid a ton of people to write 5 star reviews on Facebook it seems to keep their company alive.

Terrible company. They didn't refund me until they received a letter from my lawyer. Lots of lawyer in my family so this was easy to do, but it isn't for everyone and it isn't fair to people that they make up excuses not to refund or help them. Read their negative Facebook reviews before purchasing. Make an informed decision based on what looks real and what looks fake. Bad business owners.

To top it off -----> blanket NOT EVEN Canadian as advertised in their Facebook ads. Liars. Staff member even admitted it to me by Facebook message. I have proof.

I bought one blanket for one of my children and a few months later, bought a second for my other child. The blanket arrived quickly and has made both of my kids very happy! The only thing that is a little tricky is that over time the inserts move around and occasionally need to be put straight again. That said, I love that the inserts can be removed and the blanket can be washed. I have recommended Nirvana to several of my friends. I love that the fill is natural, not polyfoam. My only other suggestions for improvement would be to offer different colors and different fabric. My kids love the minky, but I would have preferred a 100% cotton option (or even bamboo).

I love my Nirvana blanket!! I get an incredible sleep every night and I have the most vivid dreams. I wake up feeling rested and ready to greet the day.

Great product and very nicely made. I suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder, and insomnia has been a major side effect of it. When the blanket came in it helped me with my restlessness and even helped me slow down my mind.

Update: Nirvana reached out (below) on trust pilot. Very nice of them to do so, however, after writing an email to them at the address provided, they have yet again failed to respond.

Although I find I still wake up during the night,my quality of sleep has greatly improved.According to my Fitbit my deep sleep has improved,which is what I need to feel more rested.Just want to say it took a couple of nights to get used to the weight but now I can’t get comfortable without it.I love it.

I love this blanket so much. I have been sleeping so well and can’t believe it took me so long to buy one.

Unfortunately, this blanket did not work for us, it had the opposite affect. Woke both me and my partner up in the middle of the night. Not the mention that it's too short to cover the full body of someone 6'3"

Received my blanket in less than a week of ordering, it was in perfect condition and have used it everyday since. Love it! I have even taken magic bags out and heated them and put back in to get rid of thigh pain, worked great!

I love it! So much in fact, I bought another for a family member.

While the one side of this blanket is nice and soft, the other is definitely not. As it is for a 6 year old, that in itself is not great. I was also told I could remove weights easily to make it lighter for a child and replace them to use for an adult. This is a) not as easy as it could be and b) makes the blanket rather off balance for the child. For the adult that has used it, it is fine, but definitely not 5 stars. The 'seeds' inside shift, so the weight isn't evenly distributed. And it's kind of noisy.
