Extremely unethical practices

There are already so many explanations of how this company scammed many people with a fraudulent program called 5 for 5 so I won't repeat that - see other reviews, which are accurate and also describe my experience. In short: this company scammed consumers through a blatant scheme and then implied that it was consumers fault. Additionally: the company ALSO claims to be of exceptional quality, but I have found their products to be highly inconsistent, with some items being OK and others being very poor. The company also describes great working conditions and makes sustainability claims but when I've tried to follow up on these claims, they either do not reply at all or they give outdated information from many years ago that no longer applies. The company is the worst of all worlds, with extremely unethical practices for both consumers and for how the business mis-represents itself.

I purchased Nisolo’s “Five for Five”…

I purchased Nisolo’s “Five for Five” membership in 2023 for $500, which promised multiple product credits over time.

In 2024, the company informed members the program would be paused for 12 months, with benefits expected to resume in 2025. I waited the full period in good faith.

After the delay, I did not receive my remaining benefits or any follow-up communication. I contacted the company in February 2025 and received no response.

As of now, more than two years after purchase, the company has not fulfilled the program or provided a resolution.

I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Arizona Attorney General. I am still seeking a refund or fulfillment of the remaining benefits.

I hope the company addresses this issue and communicates transparently with affected customers.

Update: The company has since confirmed that the Five for Five program has been terminated following a change in ownership and is not offering refunds. Instead, they are offering a 25% discount on future purchases, which requires additional spending and does not replace the value of the undelivered benefits.

Horrible

Horrible, scammy company. They stole from their 5-for-5 customers and will not make it right. Their new CEO is a coward. They tout themselves as an ethical and sustainable brand but they are anything but that - they steal from and deceive their customers and employees.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

AVOID THIS COMPANY. I spent $544 for the Five for Five Program. I got 2 pairs out of the 10 I was supposed to receive. They completely ghosted me. No one responds. Completely unethical. And the shoes I did get give me blisters.

Another victim of the 5 for 5 scam - They STOLE my money

Another victim of the 5 for 5 scam. I gave them my $500 in Sept 2023, received my first pair of shoes. Was able to redeem a 2nd code in May of 2024. When I attempted to redeem in Fall 2024, was told the program was on hold. Spring 2025 - told that the program had ended and there would be no refund. Seriously, they are still in business and they couldn't fulfill an obligation and STOLE $500 from so many. I would NEVER buy shoes from this Company again. And would NEVER recommend it to anyone.

Undisclosed no returns policy⸻

Terrible return policy experience — “Not eligible for return” wasn’t disclosed

I ordered a pair of boots from NISOLO and was really excited about them — until I tried to return them.
When I went to return the boots, I was told they were not eligible for return, and this was never made clear to me at the time of purchase. There was no notice of a no-return policy on the product page, in my order confirmation, or anywhere obvious during checkout.

To make matters worse, there was no way to contact customer service — no email form, no phone number, nothing clearly listed. I couldn’t even ask for help.

I’m disappointed with the boots and even more frustrated with how difficult it is to get support or resolve an issue. This experience has made me less likely to shop here again.

Pros: Boots arrived on time
Cons: Unclear return policy • No customer support contact • Difficult/No returns

After 17 days, still no boots received

I purchased the moc toe boot on December 21, 2025. It has not arrived yet. Nisolo gave me a tracking number with no updates, just that it was shipped on December 22, 2025. It's now January 7. It's been 17 days. I wonder if the delivery was by bicycle or on foot from Nisolo to my place.

I was sent entirely the wrong item--…

I was sent entirely the wrong item-- wrong size, wrong style. I called and received messages indicating disconnection. I emailed and waited days until finally receiving a response. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten that except that by that point I had already stopped the charges at my credit card company. At this point I keep receiving messages asking for the same information over and over. I'm done with them – they can if they want send a prepaid mailer if they want to receive it back and even that is already putting me to too much trouble. I wish I had read the company reviews before placing the order--I advise anyone to do that before making any purchase. And finally, when I attempted to submit this one star refuse to the company, it wouldn't go through. Unsurprising.

Most dishonest company ever

I bought Nisolo shoes for years, and after buying shoes, bags, and belts, I am positive that Nisolo is without a doubt the most dishonest, untrustworthy company I've ever purchased from. I wouldn't buy another product from them if they paid me to. Their shoes and products wear down, the soles of the shoes are crap, and their customer service is awful. They ran a program called 5 for 5 in which you paid up front to receive products over time; last year they disbanded the program and refuse to refund anybody. They are an awful company, no ethics despite what they say.

SCAMMED

SCAMMED! CORRUPT! ROBBERS!
Paid $500 for a 5-year shoe subscription that they cancelled without a refund! Took so many people's money with no remorse.

BUYER BEWARE

Nisolo claims to be an “ethical” company, but their actions tell a different story. They took $500 from me through their prepaid “Five for Five” program, shut it down without warning, refused refunds, and then had the audacity to offer me a discount code to spend more money with them. This behavior is deceptive, unethical, and feels like outright theft. Consumers should be warned.

CAVEAT EMPTOR

If I could give zero stars I would. What started out as a great company selling great shoes turned into corporate greed and fraud. I, too, was scammed by their 5 for 5 program and then ghosted when I tried to redeem. SCAM and FRAUD. Do not support this company. CAVEAT EMPTOR

Such a scam

This company, Nisolo scammed customers out of $500 each. They sold a Five for Five - five years (two a year) for $500. I received three of the ten before they paused the delivery. Such a scam! Not a happy camper!

Another scammed customer

Another customer here who was scammed. I think it’s disgusting that the new company who bought out Nisolo after the foreclosure is trying to pretend like it never happened. Good luck running a brand but never being able to make social media comments visible lol

Add me to the long list of people scammed by Nisolo. They refuse to honor the Five for Five deal or issue a refund. Now I have to fight to get my $500 back.

Scammed by 5 for 5 program

Scammed by 5 for 5 program. Spent $500 for the program and got 2/10 items before the program went defunct and they decided not to reimburse anyone. And the shoes I got are honestly not very comfortable.
