Appalling service and communication from Nissan. I had a recall for the battery electrical system, apparently this only takes an hour to rectify according to the letter i received.
I went through the website booking system that it advised, due to the fault only taking an hour, i selected to do a wait while it's done booking. Oddly this meant a waiting time of a month, but if i booked a courtesy car from them, which i would need to pay for, i could get it booked in that same week.
I don't live local, so booked a waiting appointment, which was apparently available. A few days later i get an email stating that the appointment wasn't available, so instead they booked the same day but i would need to drop the car off early morning and collect at the end of the day.
Hold on a minute, this is the opposite of what i required. When i asked about re-booking for an alternative timeslot of day that week, i was told i must go through the whole process again as they can't check any days or times at any Nissan dealers.
So i told them to cancel the appointment which they did not do, i then get bombarded with sms and calls from the dealer about the car and bringing it in.
I've now tried to rebook online and waiting to see if the same happens again. They didn't offer me any alternative dates or times, just told me to rebook. I think this is a poor service, i have a 1yr old car with a manufacturer fault, they clearly don't want to undertake the work and making it as difficult as possible to book it in. This has put me off buying another Nissan, never had such poor service and communication. I am a customer, not somebody trying to get something for FREE.

I had a 10 year old Navara from new, with only 40,000 miles on the clock, and in otherwise pristine condition. When I bought it I was assured that there was no longer an issue with the chassis. In 2019, it was recalled because of the chassis. It was cleaned and repainted and I was assured there would be no further issues. In March 2025 the chassis snapped. After a very long process of trying to get customer service to admit liability as this is a known fault with these vehicles, they finally decided after 2 months to buy back my vehicle, for a very low price given the condition that I had kept my car in. Now, another two months later, I have only just received payment for my car. I had to threaten several times with my lawyer before they actually settled my claim. I could not buy another vehicle until they had agreed to take the Navara back, so I was without a car for two months before buying another - not a Nissan, and have been out of pocket for four months. Jenny in Customer (don't) Care kept on promising that it was all in hand and to be patient, it would be settled, but this is a ridiculous length of time for them to have my car and not pay up. When I looked into making a complaint about Jenny's handling of the case, I was told that Jenny was one of the people who look into complaints. Not much point, then. We have had Nissans since 2006. They have really gone downhill recently and are a terrible company to deal with, especially the customer care department.

I’m genuinely appalled at the level of service I've received from Nissan’s customer service team.
I was misinformed during my last service – I was explicitly told it wouldn’t be needed at that time. Now, I'm being penalised by Mobilize for a missed service that I was told to skip. I raised a complaint, but it’s gone absolutely nowhere.
It’s been over a week since I raised the issue. The only response I’ve had was a generic email where I was addressed by a completely wrong name – incredibly unprofessional. I replied to correct them, but since then, I’ve had no contact at all.
I’ve called multiple times and have constantly been transferred between the wrong departments. On one occasion, I was promised a callback from a complaint handler by 3pm — it’s now four days later, and I’ve heard nothing. I called back myself, only to be completely dismissed by the agent, who unhelpfully told me to "just fill out a form."
Eventually, I was told the complaint handler had gone off sick, and no one could tell me when they’d be back — yet no one else was assigned to deal with my case. When I called again, the first agent actually hung up on me. The second had an attitude, gave one-word answers, and when I questioned this, I was told, “we’ve hit a brick wall.”
This is beyond unacceptable. What am I meant to do when no one seems even remotely interested in helping?
Nissan — you really need to evaluate who you're hiring. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic courtesy from your customer service team is shocking.
Absolutely awful experience.

Took my Nissan to have the ac repaired. They didn’t hang around to install a brand new compressor at £1500 but the job wasn’t done properly there was a pipe broken also and now because my warranty has expired they’re trying to drop the cost on me. Waiting weeks for an answer from Nissan UK. Abysmal customer service. Go to Honda.

Updates on previous matters:
Spend weeks since end of June "teaching" the costumer service on how they should handle customer complaints and enquiry. The person in contact always threatens me to reply within a day, which I have already specifically told them I need time to draft the reply alongside my day job. They haven't even done thorough research on my case before contacting me.
Now, the person in contact has disappeared for a week since my last reply and missing in action again.
Terrible customer service. Our Qashqai's clutch failed at <21,000 miles. OK, outside the (pathetic) 3-year warranty, but even so we would have expected some level of interest /support from Nissan!

They let dealerships rip you off!!! refuse to give a disabled person who can't walk far, a courtesy car even though they have been paying for a plan which entitles them to a car.
THIS COMPANY IS DISGUSTING!
I WILL NEVER BUY A NISSAN AGAIN AND I WILL BE LETTING EVERYONE KNOW WHAT KIND OF COMPANY THEY ARE!

This is my last review : i brought a new Nissan juke in 2023 on…
I brought a new Nissan juke in 2023 on a pcp , after several weeks it broke down , Rac said it was the battery , Nissan changed it ,then the alternator since 2023 it has broke down on several times ,& been taken in , Rac are saying something is draining the battery very slowly ,he said it needs to be taken apart to find the fault , I’ve taken it in for diagnostic testing again , but it’s showing up nothing ,they are saying they no more then the Rac ! .The final straw came this morning I had a letter from Nissan finance to say I’ve declined to get my car diagnostic tested , it’s been done how many times , she informed me they can’t help until they find a problem , as it’s under warranty , I’m disgusted the way I’ve been treated , chasing Nissan for answers I’m paying for a car which is not fit for purpose , I’m frightened to travel a distance , just incase it goes again , I’ve had that many issues march is the last time it broke down , so I’m getting really nervous as it went for three months the last time it broke down .
Date of experience: March 18, 2025 . I had a reply from Nissan to send over a private message via face book , which I did , and I would get reply within a few days , it’s been over two weeks now , not a word from anyone , it’s not good enough !!
Nissan Customer Services are the worst I have ever experienced. Obstructive and unhelpful. Nissan just want your money.

Review replies non existent and complaint made to customer service again. Well was it a waste of time again? You bet! Did you know managers do not talk to customers at Nissan Customer Service and even better they do not have a complaints procedure so when wasting your time with an agent you cannot escalate at all. Latest is we do not make tyres so have no idea other than to use maximum cols tyre pressure from the tyres. Oh yes I am going to inflate from 35/32 to 51 all round - is this a joke (not juke!) With a car that has been recommended as a tow car but can only be referred to tyre manufacturer in order to find towing pressure there appears to be something wrong in the manufacturers customer information base, I know you do not make the tyres they are Michelin but they are fitted by you on your car (well mine now) so shame on you for not having the data available. Customer Service needs to be renamed Customer When it Suits Us. Never will buy again and will find out about the customer service reviews first.
Nissan you are a disgrace!
Purchased a used Quasqai in March of this year from Nissan Exeter. Poor communication through the purchase process including mistakes on agreement - very bullish sales technique and tried to bypass my comments when I pointed out passenger front door switch didn't work - tried to brush me off and looked directly at my wife as if my comment either bothered him or he thought he could get away with it if he looked directly at my wife who was the purchaser. Change of reg plate was needed as current a private plate. Guy at Nissan tried to get us to take car early with the car still registered to previous owner - said was ok to drive with someone else's road tax which obviously we couldnt get until Nissan had the log book from the previous owner and had been put in my wife's name - actually not legal. We waited until car was registered properly and road tax was in wife's name before pickup so we were actually legal.
When picked up the repairs we had asked for were done which was passenger door window switch and other bits plus a full service . Absolutely no detail what was done in the full service - and the car we exchanged appeared to still be in my name nearly a month later !
We hadn't tried the rear window switches for a few days - but when we tested, neither worked - a full service with a bit of lubrication on the switches would have solved this but Nissan knowingly handed car over with them not working.
We would most definitely not use Nissan Exeter ever again.
This after two previous purchases from Nissan Sidmouth which went really well.

I pasted the following Nissans UK social media pages and they promptly got deleted and I got blocked. Maybe their social media dept is run by teens, who knows. Anyway….
I’m a Nissan (Narava) owner, I’m also in the market for a newer model. Let you explain to you and others why I’ll heading for a Ford Ranger. I worked hard enough to upgrade my iPhone recently and I had trouble connecting it to the Bluetooth, tried everything my almost 50 years old brain could muster….im not a techy person, I rather be out riding my horses. I suddenly had a thought that I could pop into the local bury st Edmund’s branch and see if anyone could advise me for free I hoped, to see I could resolve it as I figured I had nothing to lose and I knew it wasn’t my new phone.
I spoke to the receptionist and I briefly explained that I’d tried various google advise without success. In not so many words I was told that as i had exhausted all ‘my own’ avenues and I didnt succeed I needed to pay £170 for a diagnostic, no budging, she wouldn’t even entertain asking someone in the know. Then I was told I could be charged EVEN more depending on the issue or update it may have needed. How greedy…..pure greed in fact! I explained i would rather spend half that and buy a nice speaker instead and it on my dash board, looking pretty.
The absolute irony is that my 12 son then had a look, pressed a few buttons, accessed a menu I didn’t know was there and connected within about a minute. Should I pay my son £170? I am 100% confident Nissan would have figured that one within minutes and charged £170…. No doubt at all.
Customer care sits high with me and you just don’t cut it. Off to Ford I go!
*no I don’t want to discuss with with customer care!

I bought a vehicle through their certified used car program and purchased an additional Nissan warranty. When I called to inquire whether a specific item was included in the warranty, they either refused to provide an answer or simply didn’t have the information. I was advised to visit a dealer for a diagnostic evaluation at £190 (I am paying 1 hour) to determine if the radio and microphone are covered by the warranty. I own other Nissan vehicles, and unfortunately, I believe this might be my final purchase from Nissan.

Worst service in my whole entire life including the life I still have left! Called up to get a diagnosis on my car befire warranty ran out, the guy said as long as I book it in before it runs out it will be fine. Well the cars at the service department and now the warranty has ran out because their response time may aswell be known as gone to a other planet and will be back in 5 years. Ontop of this I have 3 kids under 5 a disabled husband and stuck, they won't even provide a courtesy car. Customer service call centre is just as bad. Can't wait for my PCP to run out, then I'll never have to ever have a Nissan in my possession ever again. The dealership service centre just as bad, they talk to you without eye contact and their tone is condescending, it gets even more condescending the more nicer you talk to them. You know that saying 'dont take my kindness for my weakness' yeh, you know it, but they don't

I mis-fuelled my car recently, wellington went above and beyond sorting it in a tight time frame as we were off on holiday in a couple of days. The staff were friendly, professional and kept me informed. Never felt compelled to give a thankyou gift to a dealership before but I did this time..a mountain of biscuits for the staff!!

Unfortunately there is no option to leave a zero star rating. Quite frankly the Nissan Customer Service department are terrible.
Our Nissan Leaf battery has stopped working and has become dangerously unreliable. One day the battery started fluctuating and the car stopped on a busy 70mph road with no hard shoulder. My wife was stranded and had to use her phone torch to warn other motorists as the hazard lights didn't event work. the car was 4 years and 11 months old and had only done 61k mile. After months of being messed about it has been sent to Gatehead to be assessed. We have been told it is out of warranty and therefore we have to pay £13.5K to have the battery replaced as multiple cells have failed or £750 to have them reassemble the battery and have it returned to us not working. When we have asked to appeal the decision or escalate the complaint we have been directed to the motor ombudsman who have told us it is not in their remit as our complaint is about a component of the car i.e. the battery. On the website it claims the battery has a warranty of 100k miles or 8 years. Someone from Nissan will probably reply to this say direct message me and I'll look into it. This is just so they look like they take care about the customer experience and then they do nothing. this is my fourth Nissan and it will be my last. I recommend do not buy a Nissan especially an electric car as the battery is not fit for purpose. the same can be said for their customer service which is the worst I've ever experienced.

Hi update on a problem with Nissan qashqai bought from Nissan Dealership, after going back and forth with the dealership and customer service for ages they finally took my car and returned me after two weeks and told me it's fixed but as soon as I drove it above 50 mph the problem was still there all sort of lights came on the dashboard, so got in touch with the customer service and their response was quote "Unfortunately, this matter still falls outside the scope of Nissan Customer Services, as it relates solely to the agreement between yourself and the dealership.
We are unable to get involved in sales-related issues or negotiations" I was like it's a Nissan car bought from Nissan Dealership who sold me faulty car and don't want to fix it, if Nissan Customer service can't do anything who would than. So I have spent nearly £25000 on a car which i can't drive because it's not safe to.
Please avoid buying these crap cars if you got any problem later you are on your own.
