I reserved a BMW months ago in Naples and prepaid part of the rental amount. When I arrived, they told me they didn’t have the car available. To make things worse, they refused to provide a similar replacement because I didn’t have a credit card.

I offered to pay for the full insurance coverage and even leave a cash deposit, but they still refused. The only car they were willing to give me was a manual Renault Captur.

Very disappointing experience and absurd rules. Apparently, even if you have all the money in the world, you still need to rely on credit to rent a car. Cash and available funds don’t seem to matter anymore.

Arrived tired of a long flight to find out they had a " FAKE OVERBOOING" and in reality sold the car I had booked to Walk INs for 4 x the price I paid, as there was high demand that day.
This happened to other ar least 1p couples / families I have seen arriging after me.
What they didn't assume is tgat I also speak Italian, and heard their conversation about selling booked cars earlier on.. .. when confronted?? They run to the back room till I left ..

Absolute crooks. We collected a car which had multiple scratches and damage in the dark and took a video. The company then scared the hell out of us about the consequences of us not buying their damage waiver cover so we didn’t drive the car during the holiday. And they then charged us £500 for a tiny scratch they said they couldn’t identify on the video which can’t have been us. Avoid at all costs.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Noleggiare and would not recommend them to anyone.
Firstly, there was clear pressure at pickup to purchase their insurance. I was told I was not properly insured unless I bought their coverage, which felt like a forced upsell and misleading given I already had valid insurance in place. It created unnecessary stress and confusion at the start of the rental and with a newborn baby we succumbed to their pressure and spent €600 on insurance that was not required.
Second, after returning the vehicle, I was unfairly charged for alleged damage. Despite providing clear evidence that the damage was not caused during my rental period, Noleggiare proceeded to withhold my entire bond. The lack of fairness and willingness to properly review evidence was shocking.
Finally, the customer service has been appalling. Responses are slow, unhelpful, and often generic, making it extremely difficult to actually resolve or even properly contest issues. There is no sense of accountability or urgency once they have your money and I've all but accepted I lost my €400 bond.
Overall, how this company is allowed to operate given how blatantly illegal their operation is beyond me.

Don't use this company.
They wouldn't give me my 5-day hire or a refund because I couldn't present a credit card with my name on it. They wouldn't accept my debit card or my wife's credit card. OK, it was in the small print but I hadn't read the contract to that level of detail! It put a real damper on our holiday. I feel cheated.

Stay away, rented me a dirty car (complete with used tissues and a half eaten apple) then charged me a very large fine (EUR 300) for supposed damage to the small plastic piece of the rear hatch luggage cover - we had day bags - we didn't use this luggage cover! I paid 2x the cost of the weekend rental for their "gold" insurance, what a scam!

DO NOT RENT at NOLEGGIARE -they scam you !

Noleggiare send me a form with 3 foto's who all does not show a dent/damage, but even after I disputed this they invoiced and claimed my credit card EUR 380 for nothing !!
The personel at perugia airport also couldn’t see a dent or damage on their own foto but the client services department just took the claim and money!!
I see this as criminal behavior.
Their way of scamming clients and taking easy money.
Talking to friends I heard the same story of trying this kind of scam by Noleggiare.

My advice : stay away from Noleggiare !

READ THEIR GOOGLE REVIEWS Rentals appear cheap but they scam much more with false damage claims.
My hire car had such a bewildering amount of logged damage at check in that it would have taken maybe an hour to verify.
And by not doing so I fell right into their trap.
At return staff insisted I had caused damage despite me showing photos of when I picked up the vehicle.
Make no mistake - this is a company policy to eek out more income from their tatty fleet of sheds
AVOID.
Pay a bit more initially and get a serious company

This company was one of the worst companies I could have bought a car from. This company is so bad it seems like a scam. It's so bad that a guy parked in the wrong spot and I had to pay for his problem. We were supposed to pay €180 but now we're paying €300 for some reason I tope that this Car company goes bankrupt

Avoid this company. If you don’t buy their overpriced insurance, they will look for the smallest mark on the car and charge you an unreasonable amount for it.

Our car already had about 20 dents, but nobody wanted to go through the damage with us. When we returned it, they blamed us for a small scratch we definitely did not cause and charged us €100.

They know customers are usually rushing to catch a flight and use that pressure to make them pay.

Rent from a more reliable company instead.

Charged 85 euros . Even though it wasn’t our fault . Plus there was a small scratch on car and they wanted to bill us. They will find toms of ways to charge you. Make sure you take tons of pictures and videos before you pick the car. We

This company operate a scam. Our flight was delayed and we subsequently arrived at 1700 hrs (instead of 1200 hrs) to pick up the car we had booked through Rent a Car. We were told that the booking had been cancelled due to the 29 minutes they allow over the pick up time !
Subsequently they charged us an additional 292 Euros for an inferior vehicle (Our initial Deposit was kept either by Rent a Car or Noleggiare)
Upon going to pick up the vehicle the car was parked in the darkest part of the garage and covered in insect detritus. It had obviously just been dropped off.
The attendant made a great show of showing me the damage already inflicted on the vehicle TO distract me from looking over the vehicle myself. My wife did take a video of the vehicle though.
Upon return they tried to blame me for a minuscule dents on the spoiler of the vehicle and an even smaller dent on the left passenger side.
I have been in dispute with this company ever since. Today they took an additional 540 pounds sterling from my credit card deposit.
Fortunately I am fully comprehensively insured through a third party and I have handed the case over to them.
Numerous e mails have went back and forth over this, and it is obviously this is a well known scam that this company operates.
DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY. It will ruin any Italian Holiday you take.

rented a car from Noleggiare in Sardinia, Italy, and Stefano provided outstanding service. He was extremely kind, professional, and always welcoming with a smile. He made the whole process smooth and easy, and took the time to make sure we received the best possible car suited to our needs. His level of service truly stood out and made our experience even better.

Straightforward pickup and drop off, great car, good communication. Only thing I would say is if you are delayed or getting in on a late flight, they charge a fee (€50) to stay open beyond their normal opening hours. Their staff advised us over WhatsApp they thought we would take too long to get through security to pick it up and we were therefore encouraged to collect the following morning. It didn't take nearly as long as they said to get through security, and paying the late fee would have been cheaper than the taxis to and from our very local accommodation, as they charge a fortune! Other than that, the process was super smooth and easy, and I would recommend for the most part, just maybe not if you are getting in on a late flight!

Avoid Avoid Avoid. Try to always claim for scratches that were already there.
