I’ve spent thousands of dollars with Nomadic Supply and have placed multiple orders with them, but after my most recent experience, I won’t be purchasing from them again.

My last purchase was a water tank that unfortunately didn’t fit my van correctly. The same day it arrived, I contacted Nomadic Supply to return it. It took over a week just to get a response, and now their website says the item isn’t eligible for return.

The frustrating part is that this order already took months to arrive. During that time, whenever I reached out asking for updates, responses could take weeks. For a company selling expensive van-build equipment, the customer service has been extremely disappointing.

From my experience, Nomadic Supply seems to operate largely as a middleman for products from other manufacturers, but without the level of customer service I would expect when spending this kind of money. When shipping takes months, communication takes weeks, and then returning an item immediately after receiving it becomes an issue, there’s very little reason for me to continue ordering through them.

I’ve been a repeat customer and spent a significant amount of money here, but this experience ended that. I’ll be buying directly from manufacturers or elsewhere going forward.

From start to finish, buying from Nomadic Supply Company was a negative experience, and Customer Service made no meaningful effort to resolve anything. I ordered a table, only to discover afterward that Nomadic Supply Company didn’t actually have it in stock—they had to order it from their supplier (OVS). As soon as I saw that, I tried to cancel as I needed it fast. They have no phone number, so I sent a message through their system. No response. Then they went ahead and ordered the table anyway. I submitted a return request, and both of my messages were deleted.

After reaching out yet again, I finally managed to submit the return request. That’s when the real surprise hit: I had to pay the return shipping ($25), plus they charged the original shipping fee ($23) and a restocking fee ($11). A total loss of $59 for an order I tried to cancel immediately.

When I wrote to them about this, their response was: “It sounds like you might want to review the cancellation policy and Terms and Conditions which you agreed to during checkout.” Honestly, an AI could generate a warmer, more helpful reply.

Be careful with this company!
